The video for UNKLE's 'Heaven' has just been released. Going from a nice and safe slow-mo skate video to a crazy pyrotechnic stunts, this video has an interesting way of matching the visual with the audio but it works well. (Make sure you make it to the second half of the video)
Already having heard the song and seen the video (just not together) I was really confused when 1st watching this video. The video is from Spike Jones directed Fully Flared skate movie by Lakai. The song was also featured in the movie, only at the ending credits (as well as on UNKLE's latest album War Stories). When UNKLE was ready to make a video for Heaven they worked with Spike Jones to re-edit the oh so epic sequence to better fit the song. The results, they speak for themselves.
UNKLE's War Stories is in stores now.
As is Lakai's Fully Flared DVD, which I hold up there with Girl's Yeah Right! as far as great skate DVDs. You can get that on iTunes.

it's funny how it's called "skate dvd" instead of "skate video" nowadays. Alien Workshop's new Mindfield is pretty good as well as far as music and content is concerned
ReplyDeletehaha, yea I actually wrote skate video but then that made me think of like 12 year olds "sponsor me" videos so I changed it. Then I was gunna go with skate movie but that makes me think of Dogtown ZBoys.
ReplyDeleteand i'll have to check out that Alien Workshop
