Faces in the Crowd: Lesly at Brooklyn Yard

Last week at the Score! event in Brooklyn Yard I was taking pictures of people all damn day for the lookbook. But when Lesly walked by it was just a given that he had to be part of Faces in the Crowd. His entire outfit was well put together and I instantly fell in love with the shades he had on, only to be soon distracted by the vintage doctor's bag he had in hand. Well done sir...

Get Closer to Lesly's: Glasses & Bowtie / Doctor's Bag

Name: Lesly Remy Jr.

Age: lol

Occupation: Sartorial Advisor/Dj/Producer

Favorite Brands: Ralph Lauren, Freemans Sporting Club, Phillip Lim

Wearing: Bow Tie/Shirt/Trouser all by Ralph Lauren, Bag by unknown, Shoes by Warrior

Next Fashion Purchase: colored suede wingtips/brogues, impossible to find.

Best find at the Score! swap event: I was hoping to find more mens accessories i.e. watches, tie clips, belts etc. however i was very satisfied with picking up a book about ninjas and another about Croatian art treasures.

Thanks again to Lesly for taking part in Faces in the Crowd. If you dig his style or are a fellow Polo fanatic, be sure to check his Twitter, @blacklauren, and Tumblr, mrblacklauren

Faces in the Crowd: Joshua in NoLita

On our way from Little Italy to SoHo the other day, we crossed paths with Joshua, who was desperately trying to hail a cab. Luckily he couldn't get one for a few minutes so we got the chance to snap a quick picture of him for Faces in the Crowd. I was instantly drawn by the trench jacket, intrigued by his anti-fur pin and in love with the awesome vintage shades, while Meezy was oogling over his Palladium boots. Everything is put together very well in my opinion, but you can decide for yourself...

Name: Joshua

Age: 29

Occupation: Filmmaker / Lifestyle expert / TheDiscerningBrute.com

Favorite Brand(s): Loomstate, Kuyichi, NOVACAS, Matt & Nat, April 77, Edun, G-Star Raw

Wearing: Levi's Recycled Denim, Canvas Palladium Boots, Thrift Marc Jabocs Cotton-Molseskin Trench, Loomstate Organic Cotton Tee, Vintage Sunglasses from Fabulous Fanny's, Organic Cotton-Knit Sweater, Thrift acrylic scarf.

Next Fashion Purchase?: I need a new travel bag. My ancient Adidas sports-bag finally ripped after hundreds of trips and I need to upgrade considering it was over 15 years old! I have my eye (and some drool) on some Matt & Nat bags....

I went on an interview today, so what is your LEAST favorite question you get asked?
As a vegan, my LEAST favorite question is "where do you get your protein". What is this, 1973? I've been vegan for over 12 years and I'm in the best shape of my life! When guys like Mac Danzig of the UFC, Ricky Williams & Tony Gonzalez, the running Back of the Miami Dolphins and tight end for the Atlanta Falcons, and tons of other competitive athletes from all sports can be awesome veg athletes, it's ridiculous that people still think that it's difficult to get protein.

Thanks to Joshua for being part of Faces in the Crowd, and be sure to check out his blog, The Descerning Brute, where he discusses "Fashion, Food, and Etiquette for the Ethically Handsome Man"... I can almost guarantee that you are already intrigued!

Faces in the Crowd: Julius at Adidas Original SoHo

Meezy and I were waiting on line and contemplating who we should approach for a Faces in the Crowd bit last week, and suddenly Julius walked by. His outfit wasn't screaming for attention but the crazy shades, glossy hat, and nice heart brouche accent were are put together perfectly. Faces in the Crowd: Mong Kok

1st let me apologize for the Faces in the Crowd hiatus due to a broken computer and the scare of some lost pictures. But now that I have no excuses, )and because we started getting nasty emails and tweets from fans demanding that this section return asap) lets start it up again with Cathleen and Cy who we met in line for milk teas in Hong Kong.

Names: Cathleen & Cy
Age: 17
Job: Students
Favorite Brands: Cathleen - 2 percent; Cy - Undercover
Wearing: Cathleen - Clothes from Mong Kok shops, Fanning Bag, Converse sneakers
Cy - Uniqlo Sweater, Undercover tee, Uniqlo jeans, Vans sneakers, Porter bag
If you could be anywhere drinking your milk tea right now, where would it be?: TST or Causeway

Yea guess they just love Hong Kong, since they just wouldn't go very far with those milk teas. But these girls were really cool cause it took a while to get this done in a very crowded corner between the milk tea place and another place that sells a bunch of food that would probably scare most of you. So thanks again!

We should have one more Faces in the Crowd from Hong Kong and then it's on to .... sighhh ... Syracuse where we might just start Faces in the Crowd-ing ourselves to keep it interesting.
