The Kid Daytona - Contact (Feat. Kardinal Offishal) (Video)

We're gonna forgive our boy Daytona, an MC from the Bronx NY, a pass for shooting his latest video in Boston. I mean damn son, not only "if it wasn't for the bronx..." but how about where the world series was won this year...

Anyway...Enjoy,

I couldn't really watch it yet because my computer sometimes has meltdowns when streaming videos online. However, from what I've seen so far, I would think I'm about to see a wild sneakerhead porno go down.

Be sure to check out more SwaggerDap stuff about Daytona and download his latest album.

The Kid Daytona – Come Fly With Me (Album)

After getting you all hyped about it from the listening party, we now present to you The Kid Daytona's album "Come Fly With Me".

DOWNLOAD - THE KID DAYTONA - COME FLY WITH ME
(you can peep the track list here)

"The flight path leading to the release of Come Fly With Me has been a long one. The Kid Daytona attained early success when his group The Aces was signed toAtlantic Records in 2002. Though the group dismantled shortly thereafter, Daytona managed to establish himself in the eyes of legendary MC Busta Rhymes, who quickly enlisted the young artist for a role in Flipmode Squad. In addition to Busta Rhymes, Daytona has also been blessed with the guidance of Cipha Sounds (Hot 97 WQHT), who has helped create the dynamic artist that appears on Come Fly With Me. Daytona and Cipha started out by releasing A Tribe Called Fresh in 2008, which garnered the attention of major media outlets like The Fader. Daytona explains that, “the success of the Tribe tape helped me realize it was time to put an official album together. I want people to be able to hear my music, and this is best way for me to make that happen – by making it available, and doing it well.”

On Come Fly With Me, The Kid Daytona shares airspace with musical superstars such as Bun B (UGK), Kardinal Offishall, and seasoned newcomers such as Mickey Factz, Amanda Diva, Harlem's Cash,Outasight, and more. Production credits for the album include 6th Sense, Double 0 (Kidz In The Hall), Cook Classics, Jet Audio, Ill Bomb, The Government, and Deputy."

The Kid Daytona "Come Fly With Me" Listening Party

This past Wednesday, The Kid Daytona invited John and I to his listening party at Smash Studios to get an early listen of his new album, "Come Fly With Me", dropping June 30th.

The man of the hour.

Now it wouldn't be fair for me to give a thorough review of "Come Fly With Me" yet because the studio was packed with conversation, the bass was knocking heavy out the monitors, and I was definitely indulging in 'nuff Bacardi with Coke to make the room look like this...

On the left we have Harlem's Cash with some metalic gold Radii, and to the right Daytona with some more classic Gucci kicks. Who won?

The Kid Daytona and Meezy

Now from what I could hear, the production is dope, there are good features - including Kardinal Offishal, Harlem's Cash, Mickey Factz, Bun B - and the Flyness is undeniable. In fact, our friend Gloria, who came with us and never heard of Daytona, couldn't help but keep her head boppin' with a smile on her face.

Be sure to look for a solid review around June 30th, and check out the official album artwork and track listing here.
My tough tracks so far: Lately, Contact (Feat. Kardinal Offishal), Air Jordan (Feat. Harlem's Cash). John's favorite track, Cheers, didn't make the album.

Shouts to The Kid Daytona, Harlem's Cash, 6th Sense, K Stackz, the Rick Ross looking dude (and his chick), and everyone else that came thru and showed love!
