Merry Christmas (*cough* I mean 'Happy Holidays') to all of our readers! Thanks for reading and supporting SwaggerDap and all of our new blogs this year. Hope everyone has a fantastic holiday, while eating and drinking just a little too much. Look forward to meeting and building with more of you in the coming year.

(took this in Hong Kong a few years ago in front of one of the many Anytime stores. Sorry for the poor quality)

And if you aren't up on the rest of our sites, be sure to check out Fuck You John (my photography), SongZiGe (music), The Dap (dope shit), Sleep is for Babies (funny shit).

Score! Pop-Up Swap x SwaggerDap Lookbook

This past weekend we teamed up with MeanRed and FlavorPill as they asked us at SwaggerDap to be the official fashion correspondents for their Score! Swap Meet. The event ended up being pretty ridiculous, with over 1,500 attendees looking for hidden treasures in the piles clothes and other goods. In all that madness we still somehow managed to produce a pretty nice lookbook of people (some we know some we don't) who were willing to show off their pick-ups from the event.

Photography by yours truly, take a look...

Some pretty nice fits put together, what's your favorite??

HUGE thanks to all of the models that participated, as well as the people who put everything together so smoothly (production, styling, hair, makeup, etc.). And big shouts to MeanRed and FlavorPill for throwing such a dope event! We'll definitely be doing more soon if you missed out on this one.

All Orange Everything Tees for Sale

Paying homage to Syracuse University's amazing run in Mens College Basketball this year, the SwaggerDap team (of proud Syracuse Alumni) is proud to present the All Orange Everything Tee...

The tee playfully counters Jay-Z's "All Black Everything" movement; but shows respect with three Blue Print 3 stripes on the back, along with the words "Run This City" - hinting to the song that inspired it, and stating that SU is Running This City!

The tees were designed by Chhorvy (yet another Cuse alum), who also did our business cards! They just came in and we'll be selling them on campus for the #4 Syracuse vs #8 Villanova game today. We know there are plenty of alumni and fans that can't make it to this game so we are also making them available online so that our Syracuse family can get theirs no matter where they are.

Thanks for the support! and GO CUSE!

SwaggerDap Needs Your Brain!

...ok well not literally your brain, but we are on the hunt for a talented team of designers & developers to join our squad and finally make the SwaggerDap vision that we have been planning out for years into a reality!

As you may already know we are working on building a unique e-commerce/social-network retail platform from the ground up. So we’re looking for individuals who are proficient in design and programming languages such as Jquery, Django, and Drupal,; and individuals who are experts in creating and managing complex database systems such as MysQL.

If you read the blog on the regular you probably know that we have put serious work into this plan and unfortunately you also probably know that we are broke as a joke. So just to be clear we are looking for someone who is dedicated and passionate about this project like we are, and definitely not in it for the money right away. However we definitely will share the free clothes, entry to events, and other perks that come with this project to make it worth your while and make you a true part of the team.

Well if you've made it this far I can only hope that this sounds like a great opportunity and that you might just fit some of those requirements.

If so, just take a few minutes to fill out this application and we will be in touch with you shortly. Be sure to add a portfolio, website, or resume to the application if you have one.

1,000 Posts and Runnin'

It's been one year, six months, and thirty days since we started this blog, and damn have we come a long way. Been through 4 cameras, more countries than I would have imagined, and met some really amazing people. I used to get mad when Meezy would blog about his lunch, and now we're being sourced by the likes of Hypebeast and Honeyee, as well as actually making a difference for some of these brands. And even with all of that, I promise that this is just the beginning.
Some of you have been with us from day 1 and some of you might be reading this as your very 1st SwaggerDap visit, so here are just a handful of pictures to catch you up on the past year and a half...

We started in this little cubicle at Syracuse University with an idea and a ton of work to do...

Up at Syracuse we got into some shenanigans, which for some reason usually involved taking some traffic paraphernalia, or in this case shopping carts...

We also happened to move out to Hong Kong for a few months...

Visited South East Asia where, as you can see, we were treated like celebrities...

On our travels we hit up crazy releases everywhere from Juice in Hong Kong...

To Bodega in Boston...

And saw some amazing works like the Michael Lau Crazy Force One exhibit...

Also had the chance to build with tons of great people, like Marcus Troy in Montreal...

Got to meet NERD at the BBC/ Ice Cream store ...

And if you ever had the chance to hang out with us, you know we like to have fun and act like idiots all the time...

Like when we had the BBQ of fake Jordans and Bape...

And when Meezy met the mysterious girl in the white dress up in Toronto...

Overall I just want to thank everyone who visits the blog, the brands that we have built such great relationships with, anyone who has retweeted a blog post, and all of the people who have taken time to listen to our ideas and help us build what we have. Special thanks to Yom and Joan for your help, you're coming with us on this ride.

So keep it locked to SwaggerDap, and I feel like a broken record, but you won't be disappointed with what we have in store.

1,000 posts and running...

A Pic a Day?

I'll be the 1st to admit that sometimes I get tired of the everyday posts about release dates, new products, and parties. But while information is the reason that some people visit the blog I always wanted entertainment to be one as well, which is why I try to randomly throw up new artists and music from time to time.

So I was thinking, what about a picture a day? Something like this ...

... not really having anything to do with anything, just something that I shot and thought was worthy to be shown to the world. While I wish I could live an interesting enough life to produce one new picture everyday, unfortunately I don't know if I can. However I do have piles upon piles of pictures on my hard drive that could always suffice.

How do YOU feel about this? Something you'd want to read? or something that you'd have to weed through?
What kind of pictures would you want to see? Would they need to be fashion related?
Should I tell a quick story? or let the picture do the talking?
What should the segment be called?
Should I stop asking questions now?

So just throwing it out there, hit me on AIM, Twitter, email, call, mail me a letter, telegram, or just leave a comment below.

Faces in the Crowd: Marv in SoHo

If you've been following the blog you might remember Meezy's birthday where we got a little reckless around SoHo and took one too many birthday shots. Well the man responsible for 2 of those shots is none other than Marv, who we randomly met through Twitter and actually ended up being the man when we ran into him at the Apple Store.

Name: Marv
Occupation: Law School Graduate Starting His Own Consulting Firm
Favorite Brand: Nike, Nom de Guerre, Uniqlo, Visvim, Supreme
Wearing: Shirt - Diamond Supply Co.
Jacket - Nom de Guerre

Glasses - Armani

Drink of choice?: Sipping, Hennessy on the rocks. Shots, Patron.(which we took with Marv about 5 minutes after this picture was taken!)

Thanks again to Marv for meeting up with us and making Meezy's b-day that much iller. Make sure you follow Marv on twitter! @marv_carbonado

Adventures with SwaggerDap: Meezy's Birthday, Pt.2

Before I even posted I realized the silly flaw that these posts will be read backwards, so if you haven't read part one, GO HERE and play catch up.

Anyways ... after that singing Quartet, everything just became interesting to us. I think we spend about 15 minutes analyzing these H&M adds...

Thought that these kids were the coolest thing ever ...

And fell in love with some garbage bags..... yes I do need these in my house, just to throw them out.

"I'm nice right now"

The sun, food festival, and fountains of Washington Square Park were just amazing. Perfect Summer day, even if you don't consider it Summer yet.

After a random mission to get to Flight Club (about 2 minutes before it closed) we needed a break. So we picked up a bottle of Irish Cream and picked the very worst food to mix with it.... Mexican. Chipotle was the hangout.

After heading back to SoHo to meet with a friend and catch the Magic whoop the Cavs, things started to look like this .... and pictured stopped being taken.

The party ended up being great, even though I managed to pass out on a couch, Mikey ended up in Jersey, and Meezy threw up in pretty much every place EXCEPT the bathroom. But in the morning it was all laughs as we recapped the night that was...

For everyone who made this day possible by showing up to the party, randomly meeting us in SoHo, or taking shots with Meezy over the phone, I thank you. For the people who didn't make it, I hope we see you at the next event. Trust me, you won't regret coming through to chill with SwaggerDap.

Adventures with SwaggerDap: Meezy's Birthday, Pt.1

If you know us or are following us on Twitter, you most likely already heard that this past weekend was Meeyz's 22nd celebration of birth. The party was scheduled Saturday night at 60 Thompson but fortunately for Meezy, our good buddy Mikey Nohawk, and I, the festivities started much much earlier ...

It all started here, in the Bronx. Right here it was about 1 in the afternoon and Meezy was already about 4 shots deep on his quest to 22. This should give you some sort of direction as to where the day was heading already.

Ready to spend the day in SoHo we made a train switch at 42nd St., a perfect place to polish off that bottle of Jose.

Can you tell that he's been drinking?

Then we spotted this baby with the most amazing head of hair, which NATURALLY grew into a Mohawk. Basically this baby was just born to be cool.

Then I thought that these drawn on Chucks were kinda sweet...

Once in SoHo, we were on Twitter only to realize that one of our Twitter peeps was just down the block. We met Marv who is a great guy and even bought us a round of Patron shots for the occasion. He also somehow impressed this lady at the bar enough that she bought us ANOTHER round of Patron. And yes, this is all thanks to the powers of Twitter, Marv even showed up for the party that night.

Then right outside was this amazing Quartet that was more than happy to sing a great rendition of Happy Birthday.

Part 2 to follow ...
