As expected, many fashion brands are doing their part to help Japan by releasing special products to raise both awareness and money. Here are a few different tees that caught my eye over the past few days, from the likes of Bape, Cool Cats, Neighborhood, Stussy and Fragment...

Bape x Stussy x Luminox Watch

The third and final drop from the Bape x Stussy 'Survival of the Fittest' collection is dropping soon, and a nice little hidden gem of the collection is this murdered out Luminox 1100 Series watch...



So damn crispy. And while most of the collection (tees, black/grey camo hoody, backpack, and varsity jacket) will be dropping on new years day, this watch will be releasing on 1/15/10. Don't sleep!

Bape x Stussy - Delivery 2 "Survival of the Fittest"

We just got some images of Bape x Stussy's second go-round, with a collection very fittingly titled 'Survival of the Fittest'...








The first half of this collab was pretty luke warm and consisted of just some tees and truckers, the most popular of which was simply the Stussy logo done up in Bape camo. Well luckily they were just testing the waters with that one, because round 2 looks pretty good. The Bape x Stussy skull camo looks way better on outerwear, and I'm a HUGE fan of the simple black items, as well as this fucking dope varsity jacket and jeans that weren't sent over to me, but did appear in the lookbook.


Look for this stuff to drop this weekend at Bape shops, and a small chance of an online release.

Stussy Wowsan Chapter (Seoul) Preview

After the success of their 1st store in South Korea that opened just two years ago, Stussy was apparently gung-ho to open a second location in the trendy Hongdae neighborhood of Seoul...

It holds a nice corner, pretty much right across the street from Nike Sportswear and Kasina. That Hongdae neighborhood is slowly turning into a Shibuya-esque area, as it's based around Hongik University and full of trendy college kids. Streetwear in Seoul lives!

They were just putting the finishing touches on the interior of the store when I took these pictures, as it is set to open today (September 18th).

Stussy x Ren & Stimpy

Happy-Happy Joy-Joy! for all fellow Ren & Stimpy fans! Stussy has been going crazy with collabs for their 30th anniversary this year, and while Ren & Stimpy might not be the most high profile of the group, it sure has me excited...




These are available now on Stussy's online shop and are apparently rather limited. Bout to go see if the NYC flagship carries them today, I'll update when I find out.

Bape x Stussy NFS/Premier Members Exclusive T-shirt

Following the hugely successful Bape x Stussy 30th anniversary collaboration, Bape and Stussy are set to release an exclusive online only colour way of the Stussy logo T.

Featuring the multi-colour camo design, the T-shirts will be available to order between the 21st and 30th June through the Bape Mania section of the Japan version of Bape.com (black version) and to Stussy Premier Card Members (white version). They will be limited to 1000 pieces.

Bape x Stussy to follow Bro.HOOD

Following on from the announcement of the Bro.HOOD Bape x NBHD collaboration (which is set for an early June release and will consist of 3 tees, a jacket, hats, apestas, and a hoodie, possibly more), we can now exclusively confirm that this will be quickly followed by a Bape x Stussy collaboration.

There will be a few tees and a couple of caps, one that can be seen worn by Nigo here

It's all very exciting in the Bape world at the moment!!

Stussy's J Dilla Documentary Pt. 1

With the J Dilla tribute tee dropping this weekend, Stussy has also produced a J Dilla documentary to coincide with "Dilla Day" on the 13th. Part one of the 3 part documentary has just released today, which shows how people such as Houseshoes, Peanutbutter Wolf, The Beat Junkies, and Stones Throw 1st heard Dilla, and also touches on the creation of Jaylib and how that relationship came about...

The Stussy x Stones Throw Dilla tribute tee will be releasing on Saturday the 13th at Stussy chapter stores, in both white and black. If you're planning on getting yours in NY, hopefully I'll see ya there (even though they seemingly aren't having an event for some reason). As for the rest of the documentary, they’re releasing part 2 (”Detroit to Los Angeles”) on next Wednesday and then part 3 (”Donuts”) on the Wednesday after that. Can't wait.

J Dilla Tee by Stussy x Stones Throw

To celebrate the legacy of one of the most beloved producers of all time, Stussy and Stones Throw Records are coming together to release a new J Dilla tribute tee. Seems like over the past few years February has become J Dilla month (as he was born, passed away, and also released his most acclaimed Donuts album all in February) so there is no better time for a tribute tee like this...

Stussy and Stones Throw Records have partnered for Raph Rashid's classic pic of J Dilla on a limited-edition Stussy Tee. This will be released Feb. 13, 2010 in White and Black, available at stonesthrow.com and Stussy locations. The photo was taken by Raph Rashid in Dilla's L.A. dining room-turned-studio, summer 2005, for his book Behind The Beat: Hip-Hop Home Studios. This tee is officially licensed with J Dilla's heirs, who have recently announced a reorganization of the J Dilla Estate (read here).
Stones Throw will also be announcing a multi-city in-store release parties for this shirts. Stay tuned for details.

If you aren't familiar with Dilla, PLEASE do yourself a favor and invest in some of his work. Donuts, Ruff Draft, and Jay Love Japan are his most notable solo works but he also have libraries or work with the likes of Slum Village, Busta, Madlib, Common, and plenty more. Oddly enough I was listening to Dilla's Donuts on the train as I got this email about the tee, very eerie.

Stussy x Jam Home Made 30th Anniversary Collab

Stussy is celebrating their 30th Anniversary this year and they’ve collaborated with other special products. One of the first products are accessories by a Japanese accessories brand called Jam Home Made. Jam Home Made x Stussy collaboration consists of rings, wallets, and various chains.


Stussy has also teamed up with a co-branded GR Digital III camera called Ricoh. Ricoh is also a Japanese brand of electronics which was founded in 1936 and has never collaborated with a streetwear brand to offer a customized camera body. Limited quantities of the Stussy x Ricoh camera will be produced and available for purchase through Stussy Chapter stores. Available in early February, 2010.

Shawn Stussy is not pleased

A rather interesting reaction from Shawn Stussy regarding the latest BE@RBRICK x Stussy collaboration for one of the series 19 chase figures.

Okay, I try to focus on the positive and soulful with this little blog project here... But, on my cruise through the blogosphere this morning I come across this photo with explanation of what it is, blah, blah, blah... Well now I am forced to make one thing perfectly clear to any of the brethren that frequent this location, or anyone interested in my journey... I, Shawn Stussy, have nothing to do with the corporation using my surname in any way, and have not since I sold my interest many years ago... After seeing something of this caliber touted as something cool, I am more than a little confused and a bit embarrased to tell you the truth... Dude, please tell me this is not what people out there are waiting for... SS

The Patta Takeover

If you are even remotely into the sneaker game, I'm sure that you have heard or read the name "Patta" over the past few months. They've been doing particularly great things with Nike's Air Max 1, but even at Nike it seems like not everyone knows much of anything about Patta...

Getting to know Patta:

1. Patta is a store located in Amsterdam (yeah, like you needed another reason to go to Amsterdam)

2. Always confused but Patta is not the same as Parra, although they have close ties. Both repping Amsterdam, Parra actually has done the Patta logo, designed tees, and has his art all over their store front.

3. Collaboration kings. I first heard of Patta when they did their thing with the Acics Gel Lyte last year, but they have since teamed up with Stussy, Kangol, Reebok for the Pump 20, New Era, Keep and Nike multiple times.

4. They're just getting started. Patta has plans to open another store in Amsterdam, as a shared space with Stussy where the focus will be more on clothes rather than Sneakers like their original Patta store.

Patta x Nike Air Max 1. Referred to as the corduroy AM1, but it's really an orgy of materials as it mixes corduroy, denim, suede, and a micro-suede. Just released Dec 1st as a limited Quickstrike.

The only shot of these, and they are just amazing. Rumors have it that they were a Hyperstike, aka Patta friends n family, aka 24 pairs, aka good luck.

Yet another Quickstrike, but these are limited to the Patta store.

So if you are ever in Amsterdam you know the very 1st place that you should be heading, and if you don't make it there, at least now you know a little more about the store that is bringing you all of these dope items.

FYI - Ibe is an underground music producer that works with dope artists like Mickey Factz, Jade, and Curtis Santiago; but he's also getting pretty good at shooting and editing videos. Be sure to check out his blog.

Stussy x Hello Kitty Collection

Stussy and Hello Kitty has made its way to a perfect collaboration! In this collection, the Sanrio Hello Kitty came together with Stussy bringing you a series of t-shirts and accessories, including keychains and much more. This collection will drop on November 7th, but unfortunately, it'll only be released in Japan.















I absolutely think this is a perfect duo. I'm lovin' the black hoodie with the Hello Kitty graphic on the hood. The "Skate Tough You Little Boys" Tee is dope. I want to cop myself one, but they're only releasing out in Japan. Who's going to cop?! =)
