BE@RBRICK Series 20 preview

As reported earlier, Fragment Design is to lend it's logo to one of the upcoming series 20 Be@rbrick's.

Now we can show you the rest of the common series.

Photobucket

Iron Man 2, Gremlins and the Jelly bean versions are my favourites (along with the frag one of course!

The basic versions see the return to the original white colour that was used for the first Be@rbrick release in 2001.

Check back for information of the uncommon versions soon

Shawn Stussy is not pleased

A rather interesting reaction from Shawn Stussy regarding the latest BE@RBRICK x Stussy collaboration for one of the series 19 chase figures.

Okay, I try to focus on the positive and soulful with this little blog project here... But, on my cruise through the blogosphere this morning I come across this photo with explanation of what it is, blah, blah, blah... Well now I am forced to make one thing perfectly clear to any of the brethren that frequent this location, or anyone interested in my journey... I, Shawn Stussy, have nothing to do with the corporation using my surname in any way, and have not since I sold my interest many years ago... After seeing something of this caliber touted as something cool, I am more than a little confused and a bit embarrased to tell you the truth... Dude, please tell me this is not what people out there are waiting for... SS

Where the Wild Things Are x Medicom Bearbricks

I'm not a fan of the super realistic, so the original Medicom toys for Where the Wild Things Are just weren't my style at all. But now Medicom is back with some Kubrick Be@rbricks for the movie as well...

This set of 2 is in the 100% size and come together.

There is also a 400% but only in the black Be@rbrick, not Max. Here's a look at the packaging for that...

Available now at colette

Medicom - "My First B@by" Black & Chrome Be@rbrick

Medicom Toys has released a few "My First B@by" Be@rbricks, which are meant to act like a rattle for kids (hence the "My First"). While they've generally been geared towards children, this new black and chrome colorway seems like it will draw more attention from collectors than it will from their children...

A Daft Punk pair of Be@rbricks has just come out at Colette.
A HUGE release (no pun intended) from Medicom as this is the 1st ever set of 400% Be@rbricks.

Wish these weren't going for $186US but have to say I'm a big fan of these. One year I swear I will be 1/2 of Daft Punk for Halloween, crazy helmets included.

Original Fake Spring '09 - Drop 2

In the second round of releases from Original Fake, Kaws shows us some nice leather belts, another button down, and a Bearbrick tee.

The belt comes in black and brown with the metal Kaws X on the back half. Black on black, and gold on brown.

The button down is pretty interesting with all of 4 button down flaps on the front. Then upon closer look, the stripes on the shirt are actually lined with small chomper print. An awesome detail.

This is the second round of releases from Original Fake this season as Kaws continues to step up the line and add every day wear. Can't wait to be in the business world with subtly obnoxious type attire.

BLACK Comme des Garçons - Concept Store & Bearbrick Products

The space than once housed the Louis Vuitton x Comme des Garçons concept shop in Tokyo will now be home to the new BLACK Comme des Garçons store for a short period of time. For now the only products that are confirmed for the BLACK store are from a Kubrick Bearbrick collaboration.

The BLACK Comme des Garçons storefront in Aoyama.
Bearbricks will come in 400% and 100%
Set of 2 tees.

The store is sure to be amazing as Comme des Garçons never seems to disappoint with their in-store designs. Pretty nice tees and a really clean Bearbrick right there as well. The store is open now, but will only around until April.
