Bape Baby Milo 'Twitter' Tees

Bape has some new Baby Milo tees hitting stores that strongly hint at Twitter, and giving the well known blue Twitter bird the iconic Baby Milo/ Sanrio cartoon treatment...






Really wish the back of the tee said 'follow @BAPEOFFICIAL' or something to give it the extra comedy factor, but that might help out Twitter's case too much if they ever found out about this shirt and weren't too happy.

Releasing this week at Bape stores worldwide as well as Bape.com.

Sanrio x Baby Milo Pop-Up Store NYC

As you should know by now, Baby Milo has joined the Sanrio family, and there are tons of products already out in Sanrio stores. And while most of that product is only available to Japan, there will be a Sanrio x Baby Milo pop-up shop at Bape NYC starting on the 28th of August.

Can't lie, I'm kind of excited for this Sanrio collab to hit NYC, and in a totally heterosexual and non-pedophile way. The tees and sweats are solid, and those ApeStas are hot fire. And there will also be some nice Bapestas added to this collection.

Bape NYC will be the only retailer in the US to carry this collection, starting on August 28th.

Baby Milo 'Ettore Sottsass' Hoody

Inspired by the late great Ettore Sottsass, Bape is releasing a set of hoodys that feature Baby Milo along side some of Ettore's iconic designs...






Love this for the fact that it was inspired by Ettore Sottsass (who was a world renown designer/ architect. peep this collection of his furniture). But also love these hoodies because aesthetically the colors and pattern brings me back to the early 2000's with Bape designs. Call it nostalgia.


Set to be released this week at Bape stores.

Sanrio Baby Milo Store 2010

Now with Baby Milo officially being on the Sanrio roster, there will be an entire collection of Baby Milo x Sanrio goods also coming from Bape.

Baby Milo Joins Sanrio

This morning WWD Japan has reported that after countless collabs, Bape's beloved Baby Milo character will be officially joining the Sanrio family...




The details aren't all out as of yet but it sounds like as of May the Baby Milo character will be a fully used part of the Sanrio animated character family and sold in Sanrio stores worldwide. As a business move, this is monumental for Nigo, and I'm sure the licensing money he is going to see will be out of control. However as a long time Bape fan I'm generally disappointed by the news. Besides the fact that Baby Milo is a simple and well done character, he a main face of Bape, which lives on exclusivity and generally being "in the know". And while I've always loved the Sanrio collabs, it makes me cringe to think of thousands of 12 year olds with Baby Milo book bags and hair ties. Just makes me think of the knock off things that already exist.

But hey, who knows, maybe this will still stay somewhat exclusive and as always may only hit Japan. Let's hope for the best.

Sanrio Baby Milo Store

Coming back with another long awaited collaboration with Sanrio (Hello Kitty for you herbs that don't know), Bape is putting together a Baby Milo x Sanrio pop-up store in Japan.


Here are some of the limited Baby Milo x Sanrio tees that will be available...






The Sanrio Baby Milo pop-up shop will be opening on August 12th in the main floor of Isetan department store in Shinjuku (Tokyo).


Nigo also hinted that a Bape x Mario pop-up shop will be coming next!
