Set for a Black Friday launch, Converse will be opening its first doors in Manhattan, right in the heart of SoHo. And while we've known about this for months, we now finally get a look inside the newest and largest Converse shop in the world...
Damn, how I love the raw interiors of SoHo storefronts and every shops' interpretation of them. This one stays pretty true to the vintage look and keeps a nice mix between casual and sport.
Not only will this Converse store boast the biggest selection of Converse footwear in the globe, it will also house an exclusive line of apparel and accessories, as well as a customization station (see: nike ID).
The grand opening of the Converse SoHo store will be on Friday, November 26, 2010, opening at 8 am. The store’s normal operating hours will be Monday through Saturday, 10 am to 8 pm, and Sunday, 11 am to 7 pm.

Bape Shanghai Opens
The long awaited Bape Shanghai has just opened in Xintiandi, peep the interior...
It's always hard to judge how large a store is from pictures, but this looks like a pretty decent sized Bape store (which are mostly smaller than you'd think), and as always is very well done by Wonderwall. Nigo will be in on the 20th for a signing of the Shanghai opening tees as well as the release of the Shanghai camo items.
Can't wait to check it out.

Bape Shanghai Opening 11/13
In conjunction with IT, Bape will finally be opening their very first China store on November 13th...
Yep, right in the heart of Xintiandi, next to IT, Bape will reside. The opening is the 13th, and Nigo will surely be in Shanghai to sign shirts at the store. I'm really interested to see what kind of reaction and following this will get in mainland.

Store Profile - Aegis (Shanghai)
Back to Shanghai this week, where a new store is taking some of the finest brands around into China for the first time. The store is Aegis of Shanghai and they are trying to show mainland some quality...
Aegis just opened a few months ago, right down the street from Juice SH, and they are supplying Shanghai with the likes of 3Sixteen, Band of Outsiders, Wings + Horns, Opening Ceremony, Shades of Grey, Generic Surplus, and much more. Clearly focused on quality, which makes the store somewhat expensive, however also gives it a huge competitive advantage in the city as the only store to carry almost all of those brands. The interior is also nothing to scoff at, as it feels like an old study with books and suitcases delicately placed to provide ambiance. And in a quick talk with the manager he said that they are actually doing quite well and building a nice clientele in Shanghai that is slowly growing. Great to hear!

Store Profile - Nike Bowery Stadium (NYC)
Nike Stadiums are creative platforms, customization stations, and retail boutiques all rolled into one space. There are currently 6 around the world (Berlin, London, Milan, New York, Paris and Tokyo), the only one in the US being right in downtown Manhattan on Bowery...
The front is pretty hard to miss, as there are now about a thousand "NEW YORK AGAINST" the world stickers plastered on the store front. The current theme is running and customization, which comes after months of the initial soccer initiative. There are are massive photographs covering the walls inside, as Tim Barber’s 'Burning Bridges' show is on exhibit...
There is also a full apparel customization station in the back of the space with countless varieties of NYC patches and embroidery available...
lastly a small capsule collection of running footwear and apparel that's pretty hard to find elsewhere in the city...

Bape Store Shanghai (Location Update)
Not breaking news or anything, but on a little stroll through Shanghai's Xintiandi district I noticed an obnoxiously loud store front shrouded in Bape camo...
Xintiandi is a small walking district of Shanghai that has kept the small walking streets and passages exactly as they were back in the day. At the very end of Xintiandi is the Xintiandi mall, where Hong Kong fashion conglomerate IT recently opened one of their amazing high end IT department stores, an http://izzue.com, and now soon to be a Bape store (which is connected to the ground floor of IT on the outside of the mall).
STILL not date on the opening.

Store Profile: Brown Breath (Seoul)
Brown Breath is a relatively new store in Seoul's Hongdae neighborhood, having just opened its doors in April 2010, however the crew behind it has been doing their thing in the art/ fashion scene for years. Now with their own physical location they are able to show off their amazing lines of work as well as a tight collection of complementary brands worked in. And since their motto is "Spread the Message", I had to do just that...
Brown Breath carries their own lines Clothink, Bagfact, Denimedia, and Headoor (I'm sure you can figure out what each line consists of), as well as outside brands Happy Socks, Generic Surplus, and Cheap Monday. Their in-house brands are extremely impressive both on the design and quality side of things, as I was especially drawn to their Bagfact line of backpacks, messengers, and others. You can check out all of their lines right on the Brown Breath online store. And you'll be happy to know that nothing in the store that I saw ran over $100usd, can't scoff at that.
If you're up on reading Korean, you might also want to follow them on Twitter, @brownbreath

Stussy Wowsan Chapter (Seoul) Preview
After the success of their 1st store in South Korea that opened just two years ago, Stussy was apparently gung-ho to open a second location in the trendy Hongdae neighborhood of Seoul...
It holds a nice corner, pretty much right across the street from Nike Sportswear and Kasina. That Hongdae neighborhood is slowly turning into a Shibuya-esque area, as it's based around Hongik University and full of trendy college kids. Streetwear in Seoul lives!
They were just putting the finishing touches on the interior of the store when I took these pictures, as it is set to open today (September 18th).
