Bape China Tees

Well until Bape Shanghai opens its doors, technically there isn't a Bape China store, BUT Hong Kong, Taipei, and Singapore Bape stores will be receiving these nice tees that are very reminicent of China's flag...

Simple yet nice. I'm still waiting on the opening tees for Shanghai though, and hoping that the store opens sometime before October.

Heyday Fall 2010 Lookbook

Heyday's Fall 2010 line of footwear should be trickling into accounts and online shops very soon. And to get a nice look at the collection, peep the lookbook, fresh off the e-presses...

The pewter Super Shifts and rustic brown Super Smooth Boots in the 1st two pictures especially stand out to me as exceptionally clean and versatile pieces. The entire line looks great though, sticking with the solid colors and rich materials. Muy bueno.

Check for these at Heyday accounts in the coming weeks.

Simply Complicated - Holiday '10 Preview

With their SCDEADPREZ collection recently released, it's on to the next one for Simply Complicated as they offer up a little preview of what's to come for Holiday '10...

A little into the inspiration behind each tee...

Flight 19 - Flight of 5 tbm avengers that disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle during a training exercise.

Monopoly Man - Andrew Carnegie is arguable one of the richest men to ever walk the earth. His worth in the 1920’s would translate to 4 times that of Bill Gates.

Skeleton Key - Benjamin Franklin was famous for “discovering” electricity when he supposedly tied a key to a kite during a lightning storm. When it comes to SC, our keys open any door.

Big Apple - This is pretty self explanatory

Ansel Logo - Ansel Adams was and still is one of the foremost pioneers of photography and I really feel as if we are doing something that no other brand in this industry is doing right now.

Angel Logo - If you remember our site circa 6 months ago, this was the angel that was used in the background, I always wanted to use it on a logo tee so here it is.

All set to release in December, but if you can't wait that long for more SC you can shop SCapparel.net for the current collection before it sells out!

Dee & Ricky "Super Happy Fun Time Show" Teaser | Video

Kenzo Digital is teaming up with Lego mavens Dee & Ricky to produce the Super Happy Fun Time Show. No real word on what the show will entail but for now we are left with this super sweet stop-motion trailer...

Complete crazy randomness, but very entertaining and well done crazy randomness nonetheless.

Humor a/w 2010

Danish label Humor is starting to make it's mark on the street fashion scene of Europe with standout big vivid knit tops and drop crotch denim. Thier Fall/Winter collection is just hitting stores now and continuing to turn heads...

Can't begin to express my affinity for this plane sweater

Humor describes themselves as "Scandinavian hippie knitwear meets Shibuya street style" and I think that honestly sums them up perfectly. They took patterns that usually involve a dull color palette and made them pop like crazy, this is very much so something you would see in Shibuya or Harajuku. Humor is already starting to spread fast in Europe so hopefully they will land an account stateside or in Asia very soon.

BUT for the time being you can see much more of the collection, and shop Humor online at Wood, where you can use that "SWAGGERDAP" code to save you a nice 20%!

Trilly & Truly 2010: Basic Info Lookbook | Video

Lupe's Trilly & Truly has just released their first proper collection called Basic Info, and now there is a video lookbook to get you acquainted with the line...

The pants and polos are especially nice!

Big fan of the fact that Lupe took time to break down the collection and explain each aspect of inspiration. So often we are met with really amazing designs; some of them have the ability make us think, but most of them just leave us lost and not too sure what is going on.

You can shop Trilly & Truly online through RSVP Gallery.

Riot !n Paris - Attack of the 5ft Hipster | Video

Remember those special Goosebumps books from childhood where you would be able to navigate your own story line and choose your adventure by flipping to certain pages? Yeah well Brooklyn based rock/ hip hop group Riot !n Paris has recreated that method but in the form of a music video!

Hopefully you have some time to fully enjoy the adventure, the options come near the end of each video, so choose wisely friends...

Not the most lavish or high budget video, but definitely the most creative that I've seen in a long time. And I was especially drawn in because the story just keeps getting deeper and deeper no matter what options you choose (honestly they could have stopped after the 1st set and I still would have been impressed). Marketing wise, it also made me want to hear more of the song, so they definitely win for that too.

Musically the song is pretty entertaining, especially lyrically if you live in NYC or ever visit BK or LES. The hipster debates convos between Meezy and I are constant so I was chuckling.

If you wanna hear more from Riot !n Paris you can download their free album "Weekend at Kenny's" from their bandcamp. I'm a few tracks in and my best description is The Knux meets Ninjasonik (or maybe just meets Brooklyn), so I'm digging it.

Nike 1LOVE Campaign | Video

For their very first World Basketball Festival, Nike is completely taking over New York City for the next week with basketball madness. There are going to be games on some of the city's most famous courts (most notably Rucker and MSG) as well as international friendlies between USA, France, China, Puerto Rico, and Brasil. In conjunction with this, Nike is giving shine to each borough with limited AF1s and apparel, as well as with this 1LOVE campaign which was all directed by BBGUN.

This is the Brooklyn episode, hosted by Theophilus London...

Also be sure to peep the episodes for The Bronx hosted by Cory Gunz, Queens hosted by Nigel Sylvester, and Manhattan Harlem hosted by Miss Banks. And yes, yet again, Staten Island gets the short end of the stick and has no video... as of yet. Although they did get their own AF1... even though nobody can seem to find it.
