Simply Complicated - Spring '11 Tees

Been a minute since we've had some new stuff from Simply Complicated on here, but now with a Spring release we get some new graphic tees from SC...

The SC logo tee is always a winner, I'm SURE the Dilla tee is the most popular of the season (so clean), and the phone tee is already being worn by the trillest, like Bun B. All of the tees come in alternate colorway which you can check and buy straight from their online shop.

Simply Complicated - Winter 2010

Haven't heard much from Simply Complicated lately, but they have just launched their Winter 2010 line just in time for the holidays...

Flight 19 was a squad of 5 TBM avenger planes that disappeared during a training mission while flying over the Bermuda Triangle. The planes were never recovered, nor were any of the pilots ever seen or heard from again.

Ansel Adams is arguably one of the greatest photographers of all time and one of the creators of the Zone System that is still in use today. This picture is one of Adams' most famous works that was done whilst employed by the US Goverment in the 1940's. (Also available in Red)

Bernini's angels are some of the most famous statues from the Baroque period and the flowing lines and organic figure of this particular statue lend well to the Simply Complicated logo (Also available in white)

The Big Apple is one of the most recognizable skylines in the world and is the gateway to the land of opportunity that you and I know as the United States.

Ben Franklin is often credited with the discovery of electricty after tying a key to a kite during a lightning storm, even though this could have possibly kiled him, it was a discovery that catapulted the world from the dark ages to modern society. (Also available in black)

As always, way more than just graphics on tees. Cop right now through Simply Complicated's web shop. (and as always, you can use the code "SwaggerDap" for some nice savings)

Simply Complicated - Holiday '10 Preview

With their SCDEADPREZ collection recently released, it's on to the next one for Simply Complicated as they offer up a little preview of what's to come for Holiday '10...

A little into the inspiration behind each tee...

Flight 19 - Flight of 5 tbm avengers that disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle during a training exercise.

Monopoly Man - Andrew Carnegie is arguable one of the richest men to ever walk the earth. His worth in the 1920’s would translate to 4 times that of Bill Gates.

Skeleton Key - Benjamin Franklin was famous for “discovering” electricity when he supposedly tied a key to a kite during a lightning storm. When it comes to SC, our keys open any door.

Big Apple - This is pretty self explanatory

Ansel Logo - Ansel Adams was and still is one of the foremost pioneers of photography and I really feel as if we are doing something that no other brand in this industry is doing right now.

Angel Logo - If you remember our site circa 6 months ago, this was the angel that was used in the background, I always wanted to use it on a logo tee so here it is.

All set to release in December, but if you can't wait that long for more SC you can shop SCapparel.net for the current collection before it sells out!

Simply Complicated - SCDEADPREZ Collection

After having the store sold out for a solid month, Simply Complicated just dropped their newest collection a little early to meet demand. Inspired by quotes from some dead presidents, the collection is SCDEADPREZ, take a look...

"Speak softly and carry a big stick" - Theodore Roosevelt

"Liberty, when it begins to take root, is a plant of rapid growth" - George Washington

"Don't spend money before you make it" - Thomas Jefferson

"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt" - Lincoln

We also get some oldies back (Hear No Evil/ Heart of a Lion), as well as my personal favorite, the SC Logo tee in both royal blue and cranberry...

Above is only some of what was released today, so check out SCapparel.net for the entire line, which is also where you can purchase. And honestly, act quick, cause last season sold out ridiculously fast and the final print of the famous black Global View tee is back, which people are constantly asking about.

Shouts to the homie Grant for yet another dope collection. The concepts that go into these tees are intense at times and the designs completely embody the name, Simply Complicated.

Jay-Z in Simply Complicated Apparel

Now this isn't normally my style, but I had to be on my TMZ steez for this one. Our friends over at Simply Complicated apparel got a huge cosign from Jay-Z as he rocked their popular "Global View" tee while performing with Coldplay in London just a few days ago...

(more pics on their blog)

One of my favorite parts of having this blog is the relationships that are built. For example I started talking to Grant, who runs Simply Complicated, a few months back and since then I've gotten to see his brand grow and evolve. When you see most of these street wear companies you might think that they have huge budgets and a team of people helping with designs and order fulfillment, which in some cases is definitely true. But in getting to know Grant I've seen that he is more or less a one man operation, designs everything from scratch, he's still in school, and is working to scrape together enough money to get Simply Complicated off of the ground. And with all that said he has Jay-Z wearing one of his shirts. So if you see Grant on Twitter give him a pat on the back.

You can grab the Global View tee (also comes in purple) or more from their collection through their store.

Event Recap: H-Town Sneaker Summit 2009

Our good friends at Simply Complicated hit up the bi-annual H-Town Sneaker Summit last week and shot over some pictures of the event so you can see how they get down in Houston.

That the Simply Complicated team setting up their table for the event, and as you can see, they had some adoring fans waiting....

Well, maybe the WHOLE crowd wasn't just there for SC, since there was some other entertainment ...

Like these hawt dancers.

Oh yea, and sneakers! I never knew Houston got down like this, but on that one table you got the new Alife Dunks, Mr. Cartoon and Futura FLOM Livestrongs, Coralines, Blue Lobsters AND Yellow Lobsters, Military Blue 3's, and way more. Bun B knows whats up.

See, he even has good taste in clothes, picking up a few tees from Simply Complicated.

I think Slim Thugga was going to grab some too but they ran out of his size, 3XL Tall.
Dude is a giant.

And a look at shop once it was all set up.

Thanks to Simply Complicated for sending the pics my way, the event looked cool. Glad to see that even in Texas they're starting to catch on to this whole street fashion thing.

Introducing: Simply Complicated

The good people over at Simply Complicated Apparel are just getting their line off the ground and into accounts with some nice tees for the Spring season.

Barber Shop Graffiti / Global View

Creative Lock / Global View (purple)

While the line is still young with just a handful of designs, and more to come withing the next month they are motivated and say that they "are a line that puts just about as much thought into every design that a president would put into his foreign policy." Gotta like that.

Simply Complicated can be bought right from their online store.

For a limited time you can get 20% off of your order by using the discount code SWAGGERDAP.

So get on that!
