mastermind JAPAN x Timberland Boots

Recently Timberland boots have had a little comeback amongst the cool guys and even had a few collabs that tried to have some creative fun with the classic Tims silhouette. Well the most recent collab is with mastermind JAPAN, and they set fun to the side n just went bad-ass...

The classic 6-inch boot is done in traditional wheat suede with the traditional work boot laces, but has a tie in zipper shroud over the laces, an embossed mastermind skull logo on the tongue, as well as two smaller metal hardware skulls on the side heel and the tag. SO SO CLEAN! I think they also might have looked crazy with a black sole, but I'm also a fan of how they kept the traditional Timberland work boot look, so no complaints here.

Peep the mastermind site to check their short list of accounts across the world and be ready to spend a grip on these. Money well spent though.

Adidas Originals Stan Smith II - Grey Jersey

Honestly Adidas rarely does it for me, but on there are surely those occasions where they can impress, such as with these Stan Smith II's that are done in a simple grey jersey material along with just the perfect amount of blue to accent it all...

(So curious if that denim on the back is treated so it wont bleed)

No doubt these are simple, clean, and have an interesting enough material to turn a few heads (even though you might have to be sure to carry around some Tide-to-go when you rock them). However I think a small part of me just likes them so much cause they remind me of the impossible to get pair of colette x Reebok Pumps, which I lusted after pretty hard.

Either way they will be hitting Adidas Originals accounts soon, and for a pretty modest price too, so might be worth checking out.

Visvim Skagway Hi - Denim/Leopard

Visvim has absolutely mastered producing simplistic items that are only embellished by fine details and even finer materials. Case & point, this initially simple looking pair of Skagways that uses small hints of leopard printed suede on the premium denim upper (so dope how they even used the selvedge line)...

Making something so drab yet still so clean is a damn art. These are beautiful.

Check your local Visvim account shortly... that is if you have a local Visvim account I guess.

"Jet Life" Nike Blazers by JBF Customs

Although there is a huge market and following of DIY people out there who love to customize their sneakers, I've just never seen the appeal. Guess I'm just a purist when it comes to most things and love what companies like Nike produce. Well this one pair of sneakers by JBF Customs just made me set all that thinking to the side for a moment. Peep these Curren$y inspired pair of Nike Blazers...

Sure a small part of the appeal is my fanhood to Curren$y, but it goes way beyond that, I mean look at the detail in these things!! Smoke cloud swoosh, 'Jets Do It' on the tongue tag (yeah I see what he did there), and Spitta's trademark hand signal on the back. And while that sounds like it might be too much going on, he saves it by going with a completely classic Nike Blazer colorway in classic Nike Blazer suede. These are beyond smooth.

JBF does all these by hand (peep the video of him making these), and they're made to order. Just visit his site for all that info and to see more of his great craftsmanship. And while most customizers have heavily themed pairs, JBF keeps it pretty simply and focuses on the materials and colorways rather than a theme or gimmick. Always interesting to see what he's brewing.

Nike All Court 'Perforated Leather'

For the Spring, Nike is already bringing back the All Court, which did so well in 2010. And while last year we saw a bunch of canvas and a couple suede colorways released, this year starts with a new look, as the All Court gets the perforated leather treatment...

Not liking these as much as the simple and vintage looking canvas and suede, however they do still look nice and clean, and will no doubt wear in much more subtly. And big ups to Nike for not trying to do too much with this shoe. Lets just keep it neat and simple.

These should all be dropping very shortly, however I've had no word on a date for them over at Nike. I did hear that the grey pair has released at Finish Line though.

Bape 'LL Soldier Boots'

As the nasty Fall weather continues, Bape gears you up right with these new LL Duck Soldier Boots...

While the bottom half of most duck boots are rugged type rubber for complete waterproof action, these seem a little more sexy, but hopefully you get the same function. Then again, who is really out in the marshes hunting in Bape boots, right?

Comes in both brown and green embossed Bape camo leather uppers. Releasing this week at Bape shops.

TI$A x Stampd' Shoe Collection Commercials | Video

These shoes are receiving lots of love and lots of hate at the same time, and I'm personally stuck somewhere in the middle; BUT I'd be lying if I said these commercials for the TI$A x Stampd' LA shoe collection weren't dopetastic. The 1st one features a Big Sean track, the 2nd, a Major Lazer remix, and both are visually enjoyable...

Here's the full song, incase it's hitting your brain like it hit mine and you need more.

Taz's shoe collection with Stampd' consists of the Get $, Double FF'$, and the Go Hard'$ each coming equipped with a matching shoe bag/ hood. The first 50 pairs releAsed will come signed numbered and stylized by Taz.

Christian Louboutin Mens Leopard Stud Sneakers

Christian Louboutin is pretty much the master of over the top embellishment when it comes to women's footwear, and so far he's doing a pretty good job translating that vision to his new mens line. Here's a new look for the 'Louis' model, covered in leopard fur, gold studs, and the trademark Louboutin red piping...

It's a crazy, luxurious orgy of materials and accents that actually makes for an impressively sexy shoe. It takes a true genius like Louboutin to actually make all of those elements not only just work but actually look damn good.

If you've got the gumption and wallet to pull these off, check Louboutin mens accounts very soon.

Nike Zvezdochka LAF (21 Mercer Exclusive)

21 Mercer gave word that Nike is coming out with two new colorways of their very eccentric Zvezdochka LAF model that will be exclisive to the downtown NYC location...

Neutral Grey/ Mahogany & Neutral Grey / Aegean Blue

Usually shoes this out-there are right up my alley but I can't say that I would use these for much more than a conversation piece. Too reminiscent of Crocs maybe? Although surely more comfortable with that built in sock lining. I actually always thought the Zvezdochka LAF was a special biking shoe since I've only ever seen the Livestrong ones from last year, but with this release at 21 Mercer I'm not too positive anymore.

Just released at 21 Mercer.

Heyday Fall 2010 Lookbook

Heyday's Fall 2010 line of footwear should be trickling into accounts and online shops very soon. And to get a nice look at the collection, peep the lookbook, fresh off the e-presses...

The pewter Super Shifts and rustic brown Super Smooth Boots in the 1st two pictures especially stand out to me as exceptionally clean and versatile pieces. The entire line looks great though, sticking with the solid colors and rich materials. Muy bueno.

Check for these at Heyday accounts in the coming weeks.

Supra Skytop "Acid Wash Denim"

Yea it's been quite a while since Supra graced the pages of SwaggerDap, but these Acid Wash Denim Skytops are a solid addition to the Spring sneaker lineup...

Cotton based kicks (canvas and denim) are definitely the move for the Spring and Summer months. And the Acid Wash effect on these Skytops is pretty badass!

You can pick these up at Rugged Sole right now.

Nike Air Rejuven8 Mule II

Nike has continually taken such amazing technological steps over the past few years, which is one of the main reasons that they've always been able to sit comfortably on top of the sneaker kingdom. One of their latest technologies "Torch" is an ultra light and breathable 3 layer material that has been introduced this season on the uppers of the Rejuven8 Mid, and the Air Maxim 1 Torch. The major benefits of Torch technology are that it is light, breathes well, flexible, and impressively doesn't crease with wear!

For the spring Nike is throwing the Torch upper on a new Rejuven8 Mule slip on...

While usually structures like this are reserved for "house shoes", I think that with the colorways and the athletic look, this could been seen quite a bit in the summer as a quick slip on option. While they aren't for everyone, my only main beef with these is that Nike didn't sure Lunar technology on the soles! The Torch + Lunar combo has been offering the lightest and most comfortable shoes that I've ever set foot into, and even though these aren't athletic by any means, I think it would have been a great place for Nike to basically show off with a sandal. Oh well, at least it has Air.

These will be available shortly at select NSW accounts and stores.

Supra Skytop Hi "Red/ Black Tie Dye"

Honestly I've never been the biggest fan of Supra, but every once and a while they put out a sneaker that tickles my fancy. And while I wouldn't normally think that a shoe with red and black tie die treatment would be one of those, I happen to like this new Skytop...

Just released, you can cop now from Rugged Sole

Heyday x Sugar Cane Denim Co.

At the recent Project show in Las Vegas, Heyday finally unveiled their collaboration project with Sugar Cane Denim. The collection consists of 3 models, all only using materials and hardware that are actually found on Sugar Cane's denim...

When I met with Darin from Heyday back in August this was one project that he was very excited about but wouldn't let me take pics or release any info on (although the sample that I saw was not used here). We talked about how some denim based footwear is really difficult to actually wear with denim, so I'm glad to see that the raw denim is mostly accents on these shoes, which makes them much more wearable.

This is a great look for both Heyday and Sugar Cane, both of which place the highest emphasis on quality. Look for these to release this summer.

Ato Matsumoto - Extended Tongue Baseball Trainer

Already acclaimed for his cowhide sneakers and snow boot, Ato Matsumoto now gives his rendition of a simple baseball trainer.

Giving the sneaker a really simple body, the clear emphasis on here is the crazy oversized tongue that shoots up a good few inches past the shoe. Comes in black and white leather with suede accents as seen.

Available at oki-ni.
