Pickups: Nike x Fragment ACG Zoom Meriweather TZ

Winter time pickups from the old Nike brethren, it's the Nike x Fragment Zoom Meriweather TZ in silver/grey/obsidian ...

The suede on these is rather sexy, and for a more bulky winter shoe they are DAMN comfortable! Also comes in a deep navy which is super clean as well. Being a TZ release there are only a handful of places to grab these around the globe, some of which being 21 Mercer in NYC, Bodega in Boston, and UNDFTD in LA.

Nike Woven Footscape - 'Leopard'

Even though the Footscape model needs nothing extra to make it stand out from the crowd, Nike has decided to go ham and throw a full out leopard print on it this Spring...

The leopard print is done in horse hair (à la the classic Hideout Footscapes), and features a FreeMotion sole. Should be releasing in the next few weeks.

NEED!

Nike Footscape '3HC'

Nike is FINALLY dropping a couple Footscapes that don't have those horrid Flywire streaks running through them. Check out these new Air Footscape Woven Chukkas that are being dubbed 3HC...

Although Footscapes are generally regarded as a casual shoe, the sporty silhouette allows Nike to always fuck around and integrate their latest technologies, which is what makes the Footscape such a hit or miss shoe. These 3HC pairs are a total hit though. Using a simple yet über light neoprene upper, along with a Freemotion sole, these probably pack more comfort than the normal Footscape already does.

As always Footscapes are pretty hard to find outside of Japan so keep your eyes peeled for these to drop soon.

Nike Zvezdochka LAF (21 Mercer Exclusive)

21 Mercer gave word that Nike is coming out with two new colorways of their very eccentric Zvezdochka LAF model that will be exclisive to the downtown NYC location...

Neutral Grey/ Mahogany & Neutral Grey / Aegean Blue

Usually shoes this out-there are right up my alley but I can't say that I would use these for much more than a conversation piece. Too reminiscent of Crocs maybe? Although surely more comfortable with that built in sock lining. I actually always thought the Zvezdochka LAF was a special biking shoe since I've only ever seen the Livestrong ones from last year, but with this release at 21 Mercer I'm not too positive anymore.

Just released at 21 Mercer.

Nike 1LOVE Campaign | Video

For their very first World Basketball Festival, Nike is completely taking over New York City for the next week with basketball madness. There are going to be games on some of the city's most famous courts (most notably Rucker and MSG) as well as international friendlies between USA, France, China, Puerto Rico, and Brasil. In conjunction with this, Nike is giving shine to each borough with limited AF1s and apparel, as well as with this 1LOVE campaign which was all directed by BBGUN.

This is the Brooklyn episode, hosted by Theophilus London...

Also be sure to peep the episodes for The Bronx hosted by Cory Gunz, Queens hosted by Nigel Sylvester, and Manhattan Harlem hosted by Miss Banks. And yes, yet again, Staten Island gets the short end of the stick and has no video... as of yet. Although they did get their own AF1... even though nobody can seem to find it.

NSW Livestrong 2010 Dunk Hi & Blazer Mid

Nike Sportswear keeps coming with some solid Livestrong footwear this year, and for the Fall we get a Dunk Hi and Blazer mid that have been Livestrong-ized...

While the Blazers seem very clear but just a tad lazy in the creativity department, the Dunks have that perfect multicolor accent on the heel that completely set them apart. Really wish the Blazers had the same exact effect on the heel where 'Nike' is written, but oh well, can't have everything.

These will be dropping very soon at top Nike accounts.

Nike Air Footscape - Fall 2010

After the hideous interesting addition of Flywire to the Air Footscape Motion last season, Nike is now back to basics with the Footscape. This Fall we get them in a nice woven quilted material in Navy and Tope...

Blue Print

Faded Tope

Kinda sad they took the Free Motion sole out (so comfortable), but happy that the Flywire is gone. This new tightly woven quilted material looks great, and the colors are perfectly simple for Fall.

CLOT x NSW - GS Polo

Here's the CLOT x NSW polos that we got a little teaser for last week...

"This 2010 version of the GS Polo is featured in 5 colorways, each dedicated to all five JUICE stores. The color coordinations will be offered as followed: black for JUICE HK, navy/blue for JUICE Shanghai, red for JUICE Taiwan and white for JUICE Kuala Lumpur. In addition, all JUICE stores will have decorated Nike iD shoes with the pinwheel logo, kicking off June 18th, 2010."

The Juice stores will also be offering customization with CLOT and 67 available and special packaging (as seen in the picture, under the polos).

CLOT x NSW - GS Polo (teaser)

Nike Sportswear has been pushing the their simplistic GS Polo pretty hard this season, and is now doing even more as CLOT looks to celebrate their 6 year anniversary. For now we just get a teaser pic but it seems like some more solid color polos with a nice chinese embroidery detail on the buttons....

Now we'll just have to wait to see if there are any more small details hidden on the shirt. Set to release on June 18th at all Juice locations and online at ClotInc. The same date that Juice Hong Kong will be relocating to a street level space below their existing store. No more stairs!

(oh, and GS stands for Grand Slam, I've asked multiple Nike people and nobody can give me a good explanation as to what, if anything, is behind the name).

NSW x Fragment - All Court Low (Black and White)

NSW has brought back the All Court in a strong way this season with all sorts of nice colors in canvas and suede. However the most sought after All Courts continue to be the swoosh-less ones done by Fragment. The red and navy that came out a couple of weeks ago were gone in the blink of an eye, and I would expect nothing different here...

EDIT: Added Pics.... and it seems it'll be a Tier 0.

Release is set for tomorrow in Japan, sadly these will only be available at the NSW annex in Head Porter +, Shubuya. However 21 Mercer always seems to get their hands on Japanese exclusives so keep a look out there as well.

How many of your Nikes have no swoosh?

Nike Sportswear "Bleed Your Colors" Campaign

Nike Sportswear has cleverly tied in March Madness to their huge N98 track jacket launch, with this new "Bleed Your Colors" campaign. To do so they got some recent grads turned NBA players to show off the jacket and rep their old school colors with pride. Since we hold such strong ties to Syracuse, lets start it off with Johnny Flynn...

Johnny Flynn - Syracuse University Orange

And to be honest I wasn't even going to post the rest! (school pride almost getting the best of me)... but since 3 of the four teams are still in the tourney, and the ad campaign is pretty dope, here you go...

Brandon Roy - Washing University Huskies

Zach Randolph - Michigan State University Spartans

Ty Lawson - University of North Carolina Tar Heels

Gerald Henderson - Duke University Blue Devils

Yeah, one of the many things that I've learned being at Nike is that they do what they do very well. Sure that's a very general and possible understatement, but hey it's true! This campaign is perfect for March Madness, and they did an excellent job on the color choices.

The N98 track jacket is available at Nike stores world wide, and also available for customization at Nikes 255 Elizabeth St. design studio in NYC.

Nike x Futura x Syracuse University | Be True

As a Syracuse alum, I've been wanting to post about this Nike x Futura x Syracuse Be True collection for a while now. Unfortunately I was out of town and couldn't make it to the release party where Futura, Pearl Washington, and Paul Harris were in attendance, but I was able to make it down to 21 Mercer yesterday to snap a few pics...

Futura basically got an entire store takeover, with his rendition of the Orangeman on the walls over his camo print. And for the event he also gave the store his graffiti treatment, even turning some of his traditional atom like designs into basketballs. There was also some of Futura's photography on display from his recent trip to a 'Cuse game at the Carrier Dome.

The apparel collection consists of a t-shirt, hoody, track jacket, and stadium jacket, all coming in 2 colorways. The t-shirt features Futura's Orangman on the from with the camo print in 3m on the back, in both black and white. The hoody comes in grey with orange details, as well as black on black. The track jacket comes in white (seen below) as well as black on black. And the stadium jacket comes in blue with blue all over stitched details, as well as orange patches, like a varsity jacket, also the same details in another black on black version.

The footwear collection consists of an AF-1 premuim in all black and one in all grey that simply reads "Be True" on the bottom sole. There is also a Dunk Hi that features Futura's camo in black and orange all over the shoe.

Not everything is available online, but you can shop some of the collection here.

So happy and honored that both Nike and Futura picked Syracuse to do this artist collection with. And what a great year to pick, as 'Cuse sits at #4 on the polls for mens Basketball.

Nike SFB | Purple Fragment TZ

One of the great additions to the Nike lineup this year, the SFB, is now getting the Hiroshi Fujiwara Fragment treatment...

The majority of the shoe is a nice deep anthracite suede, white the upper is a really nice varsity purple Kevlar mesh. Since it's a Tier Zero AND a Hiroshi Fujiwara product there is little chance that it will make its way stateside, but I got lucky and found some Fragment stuff at NSW NYC today so you never know.
