After already recently hitting us with Pilot Talk 2, Spitta kicked off the new year by dropping his latest mixtape on 1/1/11... Return to the Winner's Circle...

Curt@!n$ - Killer Tape (Mixtape)
Curta@!n$ aka Dope Boy C aka Dopey, just dropped his latest work, Killer Tape...
Download Killer Tape free from his Bandcamp
Sadly I haven't had a chance to peep yet, but he's leaked a few tracks that have all been solid so far, leading to some high expectations for this tape. And if you've never listened to Curt@!n$ before, he has crazy energy on the mic and a pretty dope perspective, so check him out!

Christian Rich - The Decadence (Mixtape)
After a little delay, Christian Rich has finally dropped their newest work, The Decadence...
DOWNLOAD: Christian Rich - The Decadence
"All songs are written and produced by Christian Rich (with the exception of the “Famous Girl” remixes), and guest contributors include Pharrell Williams, Pusha T (of the Clipse), Shanell (of Young Money), Y-O (of U-N-I), Bjorn (from Peter Bjorn and John), DJ Benzi and Dstar, Clinton Sparks and more!"
I'm just finishing my 1st run through and I'm digging it! Got a nice electric upbeat vibe, makes me want to be chilling on a rooftop in the Summer with some cold ones. And all of the Famous Girl remixes are pretty dope.

Asher Roth - Seared Foie Gras w/ Quince and Cranberry
In the past week Asher Roth has launched his new website, released his new mixtape "Seared Foie Gras with Quince and Cranberry", along with a dope music video done by BBGUN. Do work!
DOWNLOAD: ASHER ROTH - Seared Foie Gras w/ Quince and Cranberry
Not that BBGUN ever disappoints, but the video is really well done! One take steez...
(the beat for Muddy Swim Trunks is the same as Sean Price's Figure Four... took me like 10 minutes to figure that one out)

Wiz Khalifa - Kush & OJ (Mixtape)
If you are already a Wiz Khalifa fan, I'm sure you were feining for this tape at exactly 11:30am this morning when it dropped. BUT for the readers who haven't heard much from Wiz, or haven't heard of him at all... I present to you the much anticipated Kush & OJ...
DOWNLOAD: Wiz Khalifa - Kush & OJ
Only one play through but this album is very laid back and the beats alone just make you want to... well as Meezy put it "grown, sexy, and classy vibe. Like suits, cigars, and boats". So there you go, suits, cigars, and boats... and maybe private jets. A nice listen indeed.
And impressively #kushandorangejuice has been a top trending topic on twitter all day! Part impressive because of the mixtape buzz and part impressive that people typed that entire thing out over and over.

Erick Arc Elliot - Noir | (Music)
To be perfectly honest, my main motivation for downloading this tape was the nice minimal artwork and honestly maybe the fact that it wasn't pushed in my face by some email or twitter blast. No idea who the artist was or honestly what genre of music it was at all. Yes all of that sparked my curiosity and I was suckered in by the non-marketing. Ain't that something??
Well anyways, the artist is Erick Arc Elliott and the tape is called Noir. And even though I had a few tapes to catch up on, I ended up listening to this a few times today instead. I don't like saying "he sounds like..." because I like letting people gather their own opinions, but I will tell you it's hip hop and it's undoubtedly good...

Favorite tracks seem to be Traduction, Empty Space, and Orbital so far.
I'd really love to hear what you think of the tape on here, or through Twitter, where you can even tell Erick himself, @erickarcelliott.

Lupe Fiasco - Enemy Of The State: A Love Story
Most Lupe fans were fiending for this right at midnight, but some people are still in the dark. This is the first Lupe Fiasco mixtape leading up to his 3rd (and final) solo album, We Are Lasers. And for anyone who was scared that he was gunna go rockstar or fall off, you are sooooo wrong, the man still got it!
DOWNLOAD - Lupe Fiasco - Enemy of the State: A Love Story
Apparently the tape was actually meant to be released as one straight file, like a cassette tape, so if you are down to get the actual artist vision, you can also DL the one file here.
"The game was looking weak, the whole scene starved. So I game through with some Muscle Milk and protein Bars. Barbells and jump ropes, Bowflex to body it, and a couple Billy Blanks Tai Bo karate kicks"
Follow up mixtape due for Christmas called Friend of the People according to @wearelasers. So people can hate all they want that Lupe doesn't put music out frequently enough, but if he keeps putting out stuff on this level I'll stay more than happy with an album every few years.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Mick Boogie x Peter Bjorn & John - Re-Living Thing (Video & Mixtape)
Mick Boogie just finished another masterpiece as he took Peter Bjorn & John's Living Thing album and mashed it up with some of hip hop's up and coming rappers and producers.
I had this chilling on my desktop for a few days but once I saw this music video for the song Stay This Way featuring Big Pooh, Chaundon, and Phil Nash (Jazzy Jeff did the mix) I HAD to post it. This is my favorite song on the tape and the video is absolutely ill. Get ready to reminisce about grade school with this one...
"I enjoyed childhood, Mick I must confess. What I remember most, having no stress"
The video by Myk Dawg fits perfectly to the song. I love the NES graphics!
The mixtape is also really well done, so give it a listen. Got Big Sean, Mickey Factz, Naledge, Christian Rich, Talib, GZA, U-N-I, Donnis, Wale, 88-Keys, and way more on there.

Donnis - Diary of an ATL Brave (Presented by 10 Deep)
Following the ridiculously packed and rowdy party in Brooklyn last night (sorry no pics, I don't trust myself with a camera when I drink) 10 Deep and Donnis have now released the Diary of an ATL Brave mixtape.
DOWNLOAD - DONNIS "DIARY OF AN ATL BRAVE
You can also buy the Donnis Tee that comes with the physical mixtape, here.
Just released and Meezy said we should stop promising album reviews on here so you'll have to discover Donnis on your own. But 10 Deep is a very strong 2 for 2 on mixtapes so far (Kid Cudi & Wale) so I have no doubt that this tape will deliver.

Chester French - Jacques Jams, Vol. 1: Endurance
Chester French and Clinton Sparks have finally released the long awaited mixtape "Jacques Jams, Vol. 1: Endurance" just a few weeks before the scheduled debut album "Love the Future" is set to drop.
Download - Chester French - Jacques Jams, Vol. 1: Endurance
The tape includes crazy features from the likes of Jermaine Dupri, Diddy, Pharrell, Pusha, Talib Kweli, Bun B., The Mad Rapper, Kardinal Offishall, N.O.R.E, and Jadakiss as well as younger artists like Janelle Monae, Cassie, Wale, Solange, Lady Gaga, and Mickey Factz. Yea pretty ridiculous roster right there but I guess that's what comes along with signing with P and doing the mixtape with Clinton Sparks.
I'm also loving the hysterical cover of this mixtape which is either/ or both a complete rip of Richie Tenenbaum or a funny ass ode to Bjorn Borg. Jaques = "jo-ck" Jams .... get it??
