Belvedere Vodka followed the brothers Christian Rich around for a day to see what goes on behind the scenes as they made their rounds in Chicago with N*E*R*D...
Radio spots, concerts, store parties, and straight chillin' with the N*E*R*D crew... just a "day in the life". What a life.
"All songs are written and produced by Christian Rich (with the exception of the “Famous Girl” remixes), and guest contributors include Pharrell Williams, Pusha T (of the Clipse), Shanell (of Young Money), Y-O (of U-N-I), Bjorn (from Peter Bjorn and John), DJ Benzi and Dstar, Clinton Sparks and more!"
I'm just finishing my 1st run through and I'm digging it! Got a nice electric upbeat vibe, makes me want to be chilling on a rooftop in the Summer with some cold ones. And all of the Famous Girl remixes are pretty dope.
Following up on the release of their new video for Hello Virgin, Christian Rich is now giving us a look into the cover art for their upcoming tape 'The Decadence'...
Appears to be the done by the same artist that's been doing some of their past artwork, good stuff! Read below for an explanation of the artwork, and be sure to check DCtoBC for their new song with Y-O of UNI. The Decadence drops May 31st.
“The artwork meaning is simple. It’s about the word “Decadence,” which in part means decay, but also an uprising. So the cover depicts a world where the people at the bottom are decaying and the people closer to the top are rising, hence a new start. As you see, the creatures at the bottom are crying and sad, while the ones above them are smiling and crying tears of joy. We tried to recreate a fictional world to set the tone for “The Decadence.“
Christian Rich is getting ready to drop their next project, The Decadence, on May 31st and have just released an awesomely trippy Art Video to accompany their latest song "Hello Virgin"...
I'm already on my 3rd time watching this video trying to gather my thoughts. There's a lot going on but how do you interpret it?
_______________
We are some day one Christian Rich fans here at SwaggerDap, so the fact that The Decadence is finally dropping at the end of May is exciting news! If you aren't familiar with the brothers Rich, they do everything from the production to the vocals and have worked with a laundry list of top listers as well as indie artists. The new tape will feature the likes of Pharrell, Pusha T, Peter Bjorn and John, DJ Benzi, Clinton Sparks, Shanell of Young Money and more...as if their work alone somehow wasn't enough.
If this is your 1st time hearing Christian Rich, be sure to check out their Famous Girl video, which is one of my favorite videos period.
After an epic trailer left us curious and anxious, the video for Christian Rich's lead single "Famous Girl" has finally released and lives up to the expectations...
A very surreal and disturbingly awesome story with some really eerie visuals, the video brought me to the creepy feeling of Eyes Wide Shut, which I loved. Shot by BB Gun.
If you've never heard of the boys Rich, check out this post for their second single, as well as a quick description.
Christian Rich comes with a very fresh and upbeat electro/ hip hop sound that is surprisingly refreshing and epic to the ear. And even if you haven't heard of them yet, I promise that you will be seeing them around by the end of 2009. The twins Christian Rich have/ are producing for and working with the likes of Diddy, Mya, Mickey Factz, and U-N-I.
