Hype Means Nothing - iPhone 4 Case

Hype Means Nothing just sent word that they'll be putting out an iPhone 4 case very soon, in the same style as their OG iPhone case, with some new faces...

I'd love to know the quality of this case before I cop, hopefully it's indestructible like my incase jawn. Due out very soon at colette and the selected Hype Means Nothing accounts around the globe.

Artist Profile - Mateusz Kolek

Well I can't seem to find a whole lot of information on this week's artist, but enter the world of illustrator Mateusz Kolek and see how much you can learn about him through his work...

Toyeater

Tokyo Rain

Yakuza

Couch

Jelly Demon

Longing for the Sun

Clearly influenced by some Japanese culture, and it would also seem that the recurring male character in his work is indeed himself. On his site there are some further works with bike and snowboard companies, as well as a ton more work to check out.

Flying Lotus - Kill Your Co-Workers | Video

New song and video from Flying Lotus, ever so subtly titled 'Kill Your Co-Workers"...

The randomness of the signs that they were holding up had me dying.

Directed and created in the 4D Grid and Pattern World by Beeple.

Store Profile - Aegis (Shanghai)

Back to Shanghai this week, where a new store is taking some of the finest brands around into China for the first time. The store is Aegis of Shanghai and they are trying to show mainland some quality...

(for some reason Asia just ain't cool with pictures of the inside of stores)

Aegis just opened a few months ago, right down the street from Juice SH, and they are supplying Shanghai with the likes of 3Sixteen, Band of Outsiders, Wings + Horns, Opening Ceremony, Shades of Grey, Generic Surplus, and much more. Clearly focused on quality, which makes the store somewhat expensive, however also gives it a huge competitive advantage in the city as the only store to carry almost all of those brands. The interior is also nothing to scoff at, as it feels like an old study with books and suitcases delicately placed to provide ambiance. And in a quick talk with the manager he said that they are actually doing quite well and building a nice clientele in Shanghai that is slowly growing. Great to hear!

Dosh - "Our Lives in Our Wallets" | Video

You may remember Dosh's Luxe line of wallets from a few months back. Well now they have a very simple yet nicely done concept commercial for the brand...

Going with the theme "we carry our lives in our wallets", I think this commercial is pretty cool and effective in showing how compact and spacious the wallets are. For more on Dosh, check their new site where you can browse the entire line and even shop.
