Via the pages of this months Sense magazine, we get to see a preview of Mastermind Japan's Spring/Summer collection.
Amongst the ever present MMJ skull is the presence of some nice camouflage pieces, a rather beautiful looking leather jacket and another visvim shoe collaboration.
While checking out look book after look book it's always nice to see ones that are 1) Well shot & thought out. 2) Organized. and 3) Creative.
10 Deep always seems to get 1 and 2 right, but this summer they got especially creative and created a really cool stop-motion lookbook.

I know it sounds dumb that this whole post is talking about the actual look book and not the product but it's underestimated how important a good look book is in communicating your brand. A set of tee shirts with graphics means very little to people, they're paying to be part of a lifestyle and identify with a brand. It takes hard work and careful planning, but that's how all the big boys got big. Trust me.
Oh yea, and let's not forget about the clothes, which you can grab right from the 10 Spot.

Hiroshi Fujiwara has previewed some upcoming Summer Fenom releases
This preview shows the use of bright summer colours such as purple and lime green, usually only used on the Fenom chino releases.
It will be interesting to see what other colours they will be using in the upcoming months

Supreme are releasing 6 new t-shirts this week, with 2 designs by artist Pedro Bell.
Pedro Bell is an American artist/illustrator who is best known for his elaborate Funkadelic album cover designs such as One Nation Under a Groove, Cosmic Slop and Hardcore Jollies.
I randomly discovered waste(twice) a few years ago whilst wondering the streets of Shibuya.
Sold via their Jam stores primarily, waste(twice) describes its self as "A genuine overalls and comfortable clothing" company. They manage to combine a retro European feel with modern street casual trends that blends beautifully.
Waste(twice) was founded in 2002 by designers Motoki Kawanabe and Shinsuke Kojima and is based in Tokyo, with Jam stores in Tokyo and Fukuoka. Their clothing is also available via several other officail retailers around Japan.
For their Spring/Summer lookbook, they have continued the "retro" look with a nice collection of shirts, pants, shoes and other leather goods.
Also this season sees a collaboration with Mt Rainier Design Works and the Voyage label side of waste(twice) to bring us some really nice outdoor clothing.

Another S/S Collection, this time from one of my favourite brands, roarguns (known as just "roar" in Japan)
"roar" has released their collection since 2002 Spring and Summer Collection.
Their brand icon, crossed guns, was born from the theme of Western in 2004 Spring and Summer Collection.
The Gun is commonly called PEACE MAKER and Designer, Hamanaka crossed two peace makers to express the beauty of them and to oppose the fact the guns could be weapons.
Their brand name "roar" comes from the matter that the designer uses the Peace Makers for his designs and he expresses "LOVE & PEACE" through his Collection.
This way of his expression means "roar"
They have stated "roarguns" exhibition in Paris since 2995 Fall and Winter Collection,
The 13th of this month saw the final run out of the first installment of the 2009 Spring/Summer Collection from Japanese designer, Roen

Miami in the 1970's was in it's prime and a magnet to the rich and famous.
It was a place of freedom, experimentation and relaxation all at the same time.
For Spring Summer 2009 Roen's inspiration comes from this spirit in Miami where fashion and style are taken on with ease and a relaxed attitude.
From the side of the pool with an afternoon cocktail in hand,
to wild night parties the dress code stays the same,
no restrictions and everything goes.
With out going back to the 70's Roen pays tribute to them and wild days in Miami with his modernized version.
