Supreme x Vans Old Skool

Supreme and Vans seems to have a never-ending stream of footwear releases, to the point that it just seems to be part of the seasonal release. Well this Fall they finally get away from the primary colors and checker patterns, and turn to some smooth and rich looking solid suedes and grain leathers...

That burgundy speaks to me. The entire collection is really well done though, and brings a really sophisticated look to the Old Skool model. There also is a matching set of Half Cabs coming in the same color way, which you can peep here.

Both the Old Skools and Half Cabs will be releasing in NYC and online on September 16th, and then in Japan on the 18th.

Supreme Book

Supreme will be releasing a written and pictorial anthology of its sixteen year history later this month...

Published by Rizzoli, who has also published books for Bape and Kaws, the book includes an introduction by Glenn O'Brien, an essay by Aaron Bondaroff and an interview between Kaws and James Jebbia. Like the Bape book, it will chronicle the amazing collaborations from Supreme, like those with Jeff Koons, Richard Prince, Damien Hirst, Public Enemy and Lou Reed, and MANY others. The book also includes a product index from Supreme's archive.

The 304 page hardcover book will be available as a special edition (w/ bonus content and box logo slide cover) IN STORE ONLY on April 20th (US, Japan, Online). A general release edition will be available April 27th at Amazon.com and select book stores.

Supreme is one of the few brands past Bape that I would LOVE to see a book from. The history of work and collaborations is just unprecedented. To get you hyped for the book, take a look at a 10 year history of Supreme Decks, as well as this amazing Supreme sticker collection.

In a big move from Supreme this Spring, they've gotten together with designer Thom Browne to produce an exclusive oxford shirt, to be available in three colors...

Super simple, clean, and well executed. And although they do kind of look like the oxfords that Supreme does every year, these look to have a great cut and color.

DOUBLEDUTCH Web store opening

DOUBLEDUTCH is one of the longest running streetwear stores in Nagoya. They have gone from opening the doors of their first small store in Sakae, Nagoya in 1982, to now being the local franchise holders for HOODS, Undercover and Supreme, as well as still running the DOUBLEDUTCH shop.

To celebrate their 28th anniversary they have decided to open a web store, Scramble Mart. To commemorate this mile stone NBHD designer Shinsuke Takizawa and Jun Takahashi from Undercover have designed some exclusive items only available from the new web store.

The web store launches tomorrow.

Congratulations to Kawashima-san and everyone at DOUBLEDUTCH!

Supreme s/s 2010 Collection

Supreme has released their preview of the complete Spring/ Summer 2010 collection this morning. The collection is huge as always, but here is just a preview of some stand out pieces...

Overall, I mean it's another clean and safe remixed collection from Supreme. Everything looks pretty good, the colors and patterns work well, and for some reason that ugly greenish-brown leopard print is growing on me fast (in the jacket only). And how awesome are the nunchucks?? (there's a short but sweet video of them in action here)

As I said, this is just a little sample of personal favorites, but you can preview the entire line here.

The collection will be available March 4th at our NY/LA stores and March 6th in Japan.

W)TAPS x Supreme - Holiday Collection

W)TAPS and Supreme are back at it again with for the holidays with a collection that draws inspiration from the old school days of baseball.

This reversible jacket comes in both navy and red. Side 1 above, side 2 below (except both sides are the same color, I'm just showing you one of each).

This Winter, Supreme and WTAPS have teamed up to produce a collection that includes a reversible melton wool/cotton varsity jacket in two colorways, three graphic T-shirts and a melton wool pillow in two colors.
Available in-store on December 29th. Available in Japan on January 2nd.
*Jacket and pillow available US in-store only
*T-shirts available in-store & web store

That reversible varsity jacket is absolutely amazing. If it was anywhere close to fitting in my budget I would be all over it!

Supreme "Fuck Em" Rugs by Gallery 1950

Last week one of the funniest quotes on Twitter had to be @JLaPuma saying "You know you're on Hypebeast when a comment to the Rosa Acosta pics is 'will the rug be for sale?'". Well it turns out that it will be for sale, very soon...

They measure a nice 39"x39", come in red and black, and will be available in-store and online on November 5th. Available in Japan on November 7th.

Time to step up your house game people! '09 is about rugs, you didn't know!?

Supreme Magazine A/W 2009

Supreme returns with their (annual?) magazine for the Fall/ Winter '09 with RZA as the cover man and Rosa Acosta as the basically naked model "wearing" Supreme...

Also features stories with The RZA, Puffy (I'm so happy that they called him that), Eric Koston, John Lurie, JA, Damien Hirst & Nate Lowman. Special model shoot with Rosa Acosta was shot by Terry Richardson.

The RZA is one of my favorite people ever PLUS I'm interested to see the direction that the interview with Puff goes since he's been seen wearing Supreme lately.

Available in-store and online on October 29th. Available in Japan on October 26th.

Supreme x John Coltrane Tees

For the coming season Supreme, along with the John Coltrane foundation is proud to present a 3 T-shirts honoring this great American icon...

(black grey, white, yellow)

(black, grey, white, red)

(blue, white, grey, black)

"John Coltrane is a giant in the history of American music. He was a pioneer in developing a new sound in Jazz music with the use of modes and improvisation, and later was at the forefront of the Free Jazz movement. As a leader Coltrane was astonishingly prolific and recorded almost fifty albums. He also co-collaborated on, and strongly influenced, many other recordings with the legends of his time including Miles Davis and Thelonious Monk. As his life and career progressed, Coltrane's music took on an increasingly spiritual dimension, which became integral to his sound. Coltrane has influenced innumerable musicians, and remains one of the most significant tenor saxophonists in Jazz history."

Available in US and webstore on October 22nd. Available in Japan on October 24th.
