The new Fall/Winter 2009 Collection from Roen looks to be more closer to their roots than the S/S Miami Collection was.
This time we have leather, lots of Japanese lettering and the Roen skull makes more of a prominent appearance.
The seasons look seems to be based on the style of the infamous 1980's Japanese biker gangs and the rebellious youth of Japan, as seen in manga-recently turned live action series such as Crows and Rookies. In fact, in the first Crows movie, Roen collaborated to create some of the clothing

Roen has always been on the "rock and roll" side, but this season seems to be a little bit "harder".
All items will be available soon from your local Roen store.

MASTERMIND JAPAN X PUERTA DEL SOL X THEATER8 X CROWS ZERO 2 COLLABORATION PREVIEW

In 2007 the highly popular Manga Crows Zero was brought to life on the big screen by renowned film director Takashi Miike.
Crows Zero is set in a Japanese high school and tells the story of the very violent struggle by different student factions to conquer the school and become number 1.
The movie is a prequel to the Manga and tells the so far untold story of some of the main characters.
As brutal as it is cool, the iconic Japanese High School styling has always been a major part of Crows history.
When the movie was released, Crown Jewel collaborated with Puerta Del Sol and Roen to produce some limited items to celebrate the launch.
With the launch of the Crows Zero 2 set for the 11th April, Crown Jewel have announced new items will be made, this time with the help of Theater8, Mastermind Japan and again, Puerta Del Sol
No news on what the items will be yet, however, Puerta Del Sol will release a new accessory and Theater8 x Mastermind Japan will be releasing the clothing part.
The release date is also expected to be around the 11th April.
Here are the items released for the first movie, and this should give us an idea of what is to come.

I am very excited about this. Some of my favourite brands collaborating with one of my favourite Manga/Movies?!!?
It doesn't get much better, does it?

Roen Spring/Summer 2009 Collection
The 13th of this month saw the final run out of the first installment of the 2009 Spring/Summer Collection from Japanese designer, Roen
Here is the concept behind this collection and some pictures from the look book
Light Side
Miami in the 1970's was in it's prime and a magnet to the rich and famous.
It was a place of freedom, experimentation and relaxation all at the same time.
For Spring Summer 2009 Roen's inspiration comes from this spirit in Miami where fashion and style are taken on with ease and a relaxed attitude.
From the side of the pool with an afternoon cocktail in hand,
to wild night parties the dress code stays the same,
no restrictions and everything goes.
With out going back to the 70's Roen pays tribute to them and wild days in Miami with his modernized version.
