For the 2010 version of the Shark, Bape is going back to the simple OG colorways, with 'WGM' (world gone mad) patch on the half camo hood, and for a new detail, a half camo left sleeve...
Sure these look pretty much like the classic sharks that we all used to lust over, and while they definitely aren't better, the half camo sleeve is actually a pretty nice little detail. And I'm very pleased to see the original colorways, so crispy. Doesn't matter how mature fashion wants to get, the shark hoody is just a timeless piece of streetwear (the tiger and fish though, that's your own judgement call).
Out this weekend at Bape shops.

Bape Shark 2010 Release

Bape 2010 Shark Collection
While the shark design has been somewhat overdone in the past few years by Bape, throwing it on every piece of clothing imaginable. Nigo is now revisiting the simple OG shark design, but with some new colors...
All of the felt shark details, stitched WGM patch on the hood, and biohaters sleeve tag are completely OG, it's just the new colors of red, yellow, sax blue, and light green that are updated and never done before. There are also matching color shark tees...
In addition to the hoodies and tees, we will be seeing some BapeStas and Bapex watches release this week as well.
Not a huge fan of the recycled shark design, I stick with my 2 OG sharks, BUT these parkas are pretty damn clean. I think the sax blue or red ones are kinds screaming for me.

A Bathing Ape Special Order Shark Varsity
One of the special order items from this years A Bathing Ape A/W mook is this rather nice looking Shark Varsity jacket.
Available in the 1st Gen. Shark colours (red, navy, olive drab and black) the varsity is only available to residents of Japan who order it through the order form that comes with the mook.
The varsity itself is the same design as last years Shark varsity release and includes the zip hood but this time the body comes in a satin finish.

2009 Bape PONR Shark Parka
Today saw the re-release of the Bape Point Of No Return (PONR) Shark parka here in Japan.
Unlike the original release though, this version is made from a tracksuit type material and therefore is not as thick or warm as the original, which had a thermal lining.
Released in 4 colours, white, black, grey and green, each one came with a Bape figure that was first seen on the cover of the Teriyaki Boyz latest album.

Retailing at ¥31,290, they sold out rapidly at my local Nagoya Bape store.

Bape 2009 Spring Collection Magazine realeased

Out today here in Japan is the new 2009 Spring Collection Magazine from A Bathing Ape
Main focus is on the new Bape Wrestling show and the Flame Camo, plus all the new Shark related gear
Some stuff looks nice (Fire Camo, Shark Varsities) and some stuff looks terrible (Sta x Camo, Shark Denim?), but i tend to find that with all the Bape magazines.
What do you think? Leave a comment and let us know.
The "free" gift (I say free, but when you pay Y1,800 for a mag that is 70 pages long you kinda wonder how free the gift is?) is a Bapex clock
If anyone is interested in prices of any of the items, again, leave a comment and I'll let you know

Bape have also posted some new items in the news section of their website
