SOPH's founder and creative director Hirofumi Kiyonaga recently did a fashion shoot for Sense magazine, giving us the chance to see some of the upcoming items from SOPH and F.C.R.B.
Everyone's favorite imaginary football club, FCRB (Football Club Real Bristol), is set to release a new collection of kits, warm up gear, and accessories for the Spring/ Summer 2010 season. And with the World Cup being held in Africa this year, designer Hirofumi Kiyonaga decided to take inspiration from the safari for a good chunk of the line...
While the FCRB collection is usually tight and well done, this season is far and away my favorite. I love the contrast that they continue to mesh between sport and fashion, with animal prints and camo on warm up gear and kits. Can't wait to see these in person at 21 Mercer. Also, apparently this will be the last time the FCRB Swoosh will be used so I have a feeling that those items will be a hot commodity.
This is just a sample of the collection, but you can view it all on the FCRB site, where their lookbook is displayed really well.
And if you aren't familiar with FCRB, it is the brainchild of Sophnet and Nike to sponsor an imaginary football club. This gave the people at Sophnet a chance to run with fashion forward athletic gear. FCRB has a good following in Japan (aside from Nike employees, I've only seen Japanese tourists in the store wearing it) and only sees a US release at Nike's 21 Mercer St. store.

To celebrate New Year, SOPH and F.C. Real Bristol (FCRB) will be releasing 2 new T's in January.
The SOPH version has a nod at New Years resolutions, whilst the FCRB is for all the people that join a gym after the holidays :)
Both will be available from all SOPH/FRCB retailers for Y7,350
