Remember that constantly disappointed little animated guy Darcel? Well his life is getting a little better as he's being immortalized on an iPhone 4 case(too dramatic?). Incase and colette hooked up with Craig Redman for the New York meets Paris project...
To be released durring Fashion's Night Out 2010 (Sept 10th) at collete in Paris, Opening Ceremony in NYC, as well as online at colette.fr and goincase. Only 300 in existence.
The very 1st "cool" iPhone 4 case. Too bad I ain't got that iPhone 4 yet!

Sanrio x Baby Milo Pop-Up Store NYC
As you should know by now, Baby Milo has joined the Sanrio family, and there are tons of products already out in Sanrio stores. And while most of that product is only available to Japan, there will be a Sanrio x Baby Milo pop-up shop at Bape NYC starting on the 28th of August.
Peep the entire collection here.
Can't lie, I'm kind of excited for this Sanrio collab to hit NYC, and in a totally heterosexual and non-pedophile way. The tees and sweats are solid, and those ApeStas are hot fire. And there will also be some nice Bapestas added to this collection.
Bape NYC will be the only retailer in the US to carry this collection, starting on August 28th.

Artist Profile - Tatsuro Kiuchi
Originally a biology graduate from Tokyo, Tatsuro Kiuchi made the huge switch to study art in California and pursue his dream. Now, some years later, he has accomplished more than an impressive amount of works and is an internationally revered illustrator. Pretty awesome eh?
Check his some of his work...
I'm completely infatuated with the overall simplicity, vivid colors and brush textures. Amazing how a seemingly simple illustration can evoke such emotion and inspiration.
You can see a TON of his personal and commissioned works, as well as some photographs here on Tatsuro's Flickr.

Baby Milo 'Ettore Sottsass' Hoody
Inspired by the late great Ettore Sottsass, Bape is releasing a set of hoodys that feature Baby Milo along side some of Ettore's iconic designs...
Love this for the fact that it was inspired by Ettore Sottsass (who was a world renown designer/ architect. peep this collection of his furniture). But also love these hoodies because aesthetically the colors and pattern brings me back to the early 2000's with Bape designs. Call it nostalgia.
Set to be released this week at Bape stores.

Dos Equis by Kaws | Video
Dos Equis beer has reached out to Kaws for what I consider to be one of the most obvious collaborations ever. And now with the release at hand, Dos Equis has put out a nice little commercial...
Slightly mad at how simple the work is by Kaws, but can't lie, the end product looks good. Definitely need some of these for the fridge, although the collab is said to be exclusive to Mexico, the home of Dos Equis.

SampleSaleShop.com Launch Interview with Curvel and Courtney
The street fashion game has been flooded with people that have little respect and knowledge of the market, and are just trying to make a quick buck, exploiting yet another culture. So it was great to meet up with Curvel and Courtney - who not only have an admirable respect for streetwear, but are also passionate about doing business the right way. We had the great opportunity of chopping it up with them, as we discussed the state of streetwear, how their latest and recently launched SampleSaleShop.com came to life, and their vision for the project.
SampleSaleShop.com offers 72-hour online pop-up shops where you can grab items from your favorite brands for 50-80% less than retail. The site just launched on Monday and their first pop-up features Married to the Mob and Don Clothing NY. All you have to do is run over to SampleSaleShop.com, become a member (it literally will take you 30 seconds), and start shopping.
After working together for over 10 years in the fashion, film, music, and publishing industries - collaborating with the likes of Pete Rock, BET, and more - Curvel and Courtney came up with Sample Sale Shop to help both the consumers and brands in the Streetwear subculture.
For the
As for for the brands, they want to see it used as not only a great place to unload some sought after inventory, but also as a launching pad for the lesser known brands in the industry. So if they are really doing their thing, this will be a place for them to "get their shine on".
Curve and Court were both very passionate about the brands that they had in store for the site, and were genuine fans of the lines. Striving for top quality and design, Sample Sale Shop aims to carry a mix of brands that you might find at Barneys Co-Op or just as likely see on Karmaloop. Also be on the lookout for works of art to be on the site in the near future, where prints would be priced in a range that we can actually afford.
So get moving, sign up for SampleSaleShop, and be on the look out for brands like Nomme de Guerre, ONLY NY, 10 Deep, Penfield, Made Me, Yours Truly, and tons more coming soon.
