Super for 10 Corso Como 4th Anniversary Seoul

Super is donning 10 Corso Como with their very own design of shades for their Seoul flagship store's 4th anniversary. The design is a simple and chic white tortoise shell that fits the 10CC aesthetic quite perfectly...

If you are in Seoul, be sure to stop by 10 Corso Como to check these, because unfortunately that is the only place that they will be releasing.

Eternal sunshine for the spotless eyes...

Super s/s 2011 Core Collection

Super hits us with their upcoming Sprng/Summer 2011 line, and with great breadth is able to offer something for everyone...

From the colorful frames and unique styles to the simple silhouettes, Super has got it all covered this season. Personally I still think the simple shapes and patterns, like tortoise shell, are the cleanest and what make Super so fantastic, but they definitely pack a lot of personality into each pair they design. I just posted my favorites, so be sure to peep the Super blog for the entire season worth of shades.

Super a/w 2011

Super is about ready to ship their holiday collection, with some new looks in both sunglasses and eyeglasses...

The mix of metal and acetate in their frames this season looks really nice, especially with the strong gold on the arms. And while it doesn't really fit with the rest of the collection that last pair of 'crystal' eyeglasses are kind of amazing.

Am I the only one who occasionally wishes I needed to wear eyeglasses, only to very quickly take the thought back since I know I'll eventually have to and will surely hate it?

Super x HighSnobiety II

Super and HighSnobiety are at it again, this time celebrating the 5 year anniversary of the high snobs. This pair perfectly captures luxury with the mix of materials...

For this collaboration we selected our cutting edge yet timeless Andrea model. Designing it with a selection of high-snobbyish textures and material that makes it immediately stand out from the crowd: a briar-inspired acetate, that even an original Jaguar from the 70s would admire, teamed up with ourfine Italian black leather.

Unfortunately only 12 of these puppies will be hitting the states, and 80 in total are to be released. Look for them at Union in LA, and other top Super accounts in Europe.

Super - Leather Wrapped Flat Tops

The Super Flat Top has arguably become their most popular model, and for the Fall it will be getting the full leather wrapped treatment...

Haven't jumped on the Flat Top bandwagon as of yet, but the brown and orange pairs are making me want to! However the hiked up $370 price tag on these might keep a few people from picking them up this Fall. Keep a look out for these at top Super accounts in the coming months.

Super Sunglasses Launches Kids Line

I've seen your kids. Well maybe not YOUR kids, but in general kids exist and I see them all around. So I also constantly see how poorly they dress on a daily basis, and it's frustrating! So if you have a kid, or have a niece, or a little brother, that is a sad fashion victim, maybe you should start getting them on the right track with some nice shades.
Super is releasing its 1st line of children's sunglasses this year (suggested 4-10 year olds), so that the little ones can look good and still retail their youth with some nice colors and styles...

"It all came as a natural evolution, after all, they were the source of our initial inspiration. We didn’t want to reach any compromises. We didn’t want to make a cheaper product, as one may expect a kids line to be. We demanded they mount top-quality Carl Zeiss lenses. We curated the product in every aspect and detail, specifically tailoring it for a child’s necessity. We are proud to present our first ever Super kids collection! We created them for the parents a few years back, now it’s time for the kids to look sharp…get ‘em before they grow up!"

Saving the boring grown up stuff for the adults, Super is just releasing their classic silhouette for the kids in 12 fun colorways. Take a look at all of them here, where they are already for sale, for just under $100 USD.

A HUGE risk, but I love when brands try to reach out to the children's market and always hope that since we are an aging market, that the lines will catch on. So good luck to you Super!

Super a/w 2009

Super is back for another season of shades, building on their tight collection with a few more styles and plenty more colors. Here's a look at Super's Autumn/ Winter 2009 collection...

"A spin-off of our instant classic shape, the FlatTop, is our four-lensed-side-view eyewear. It may be proudly worn for any occasion, wether it be driving on a sunday afternoon or to in your everyday life."

"Highly sensible Zeiss mirrored lenses for all snow terrains and strong sunlight, with leather protections to keep the wind & sun out of your eyes."

"Our Frances “golden arms” series is an ode to the Italian elegance, fashion and lifestyle of La Bella Vita. With its sharp black acetate and shiny legs this series is incredibly stylish and elegant, the all-black Zeiss completely hides your eyes, protecting them and maintaing the exclusive mystery-man look."

"The classic silhouette in dark grey, military metallic green, transparent black and our signature tortoise just to name a few…"

"This model comes in two sizes, to best suit both male and female faces and features. Its geometric yet classic design recalls the unique Italian style of engineer-deisgn, especially that of the Futurista movement and of Italian designers"

And one of the reasons that Super is so dope to me is their branding, or simple lack there of. While they used to only have "Retro Super Future" on the inside, they've now added a small "Super" on the inside of the hinge.

At this price point, Super definitely is killing all competition lately. Always coming with classic styles that have their own subtle flair these, this season follows suit. As someone with sensitive eyes, I love those 1st two pairs with the side blockers. Innovation.

Super x Liberty Sunglasses

After a really impressive collaboration with Nike for some blazers, Liberty has now gotten together with my favorite sunglass people as of late, Super for a few pairs of their staple model of shades.

Using the same 3 patterns as the Nike collab, these glasses are technically unisex but look a little more feminine than the blazers did. For the ladies, I am loving these.

You can grab them exclusively from Liberty in the UK and from the Liberty online shop.

Super x Barneys New York, Round 2

Italian sunglasses maker Super has teamed up with Barney's NY once again for another collaborative pair of shades.

In what looks like a wood grain at first, the frames actually have the look of intertwined metal in them to go with the golden lens. These rather crazy sunglasses are limited to only 50 pairs, available at select Barney's very soon.

For more Super glasses available this season check our previous post.

Super x VNGRD & Super s/s 2009 Colored Classics

Italian shades maker Super has released of images of their upcoming crossover pair with Vanguard as well as the new season of solid color Classics.

"Italian apparel brand Vanguard designed these special 'forest' Super, with purple interior and logo on the outside. Limited to 50 individually numbered pieces."

On to the spring/summer 2009 Classics:

The s/s '09 Classics come in transparent acetate frames with matching color mirror frames. I'm a huge fan of my all black Supers from last season and definitely recommend them to anyone into shades. Look out for them in the coming seasons too, as only a few years old they already have collaborations with the likes of VNGRD, Alife, HighSnobiety, and more.
