One of my favorite lines, MAN by Junya Wantanabe for Comme des Garçon, is always using patchwork in the most interesting ways. This season the denim is actually slightly more subtle then we are used to seeing, but the details are still great and the patchwork is still alive... The back pockets have the most obvious treatment with big corduroy detail in a nice wheat color.
Not only the cuffs, but the entire inside of the jeans are lined with a colored plaid. Perfect for the Spring and rolling up the ankles.
Lastly there is a dark brown corduroy used around the waist that almost simulates the look of a belt.
These are just releasing for Spring '10 so go check out your local Comme des Garçon shop or account to check them out in person. The only downside is that the MAN line has a way of hurting pockets just as well as it makes them. (sorry I had to)

COMME des GARCONS Junya Watanabe MAN "Snob" Collection
Junya Watanabe starts 2010 off with a preview of his Snob collection.
With obvious elements taken from the "English Gentleman" style, we not only see several plaid and Pringle designs, but also some very nice denim.

Comme des Garçons x Brooks Brothers Collection
Just as they did last year, Comme des Garçons and the classic American clothier Brooks Brothers will be teaming up for some menswear.
Junya Watanabe even got back together with Rei for this reversible jacket in the collection.
Each piece being very unique with no detail left undone by these two brands that pride themselves on quality. However not only with the collection be hard to find, especially outside of Asia, but the price tags on last years collaboration was pretty ridiculous. But, for us normal folk, it's still nice to look at right?

Junya Wantanabe Duffle Coat
Junya Wantanabe and Comme des Garçons have teamed up with top coat makers Gloverall for a nice toggle duffel coat.
The results, pretty good. The leather patches on the arms and shoulders are very nice and the standard toggle and hood make this a go to jacket in my opinion. As of now looks to be in navy only.
Check your local Comme des Garçons account soon.
