Ashley Dimes and Laura Marie, brand co-founders and designers of DimePiece just released their Spring/Summer 2009 collection. DMPC Spring collection is called "Plastic City."
“Spring is called “Plastic City”, it's all about Hollywood materialism, a plastic lifestyle, girls consumed with celeb gossip and plastic surgery in Los Angeles.” -Laura Marie and Ashley Dimes.
Their muse was also their nemisis: Barbie, in which they claim to be the "plastic devil." Ashley and Laura based the collection on the enormous physical idealism that hollywood puts on its youth and the youth across the globe. In essence, what they’re trying to say is that you don’t need to ever rely on your appearance for recognition!
