Schoolboy Q and A$AP Rocky bless us with some visuals for their latest track 'Hands on the Wheel', off of Schoolboy's album Habits and Contradictions...

Definitely one of my favorite tracks off of H&C, and the video perfectly keeps the vibe of the album and artwork that's already been established... aka dark, grimy and full of drugs and alcohol.
I'm not sure if this new niche of hip hop will be the new wave or maintain it's underground gritty appeal, but either way it's fun to watch and it seems like some new sounds and styles are finally entering hip hop. Exciting times; always interesting and inspiring to see an entire sub-genre become established, especially one that feels very DIY.

Edwin - "JAPAN" Video

The denim guys over at Edwin put together this fantastic video, simply titled "Japan" that loosely follows the manufacturing process of their jeans, but also gives an amazingly accurate look into everyday life in Japan...

Maybe it resonated with me a little extra for having lived that life, but they captured that working class/ blue collar life in Japan pretty damn well. The people who you might never notice but keep everyday life in order, from the man controlling the subway platform, to the dude in the tiny stand still chef-ing up something for you at 1am. So if the point of this video was intended to strike those chords, it definitely worked.

Not sure why this place just wan't inspiring me today, I think I was in the classical art mood... but none the less, these pieces definitely caught my eye and my mind. There was also plenty of Matisse, Van Gogh, Seurat that always blows my mind up close but that deserves to be seen in person, no camera can truly capture those.

The suede on these is rather sexy, and for a more bulky winter shoe they are DAMN comfortable! Also comes in a deep navy which is super clean as well. Being a TZ release there are only a handful of places to grab these around the globe, some of which being 21 Mercer in NYC, Bodega in Boston, and UNDFTD in LA.

Since my last post a lot has happened. The job has been getting pretty intense, I bought a pair of shoes here and there, my computer crashed (hence the lack of posts and inability to get my photography up), and most exciting for me is that I finally got an apartment! Yep moved into a nice spot in Chinatown, downtown Manhattan, living outside my means and having all the fun to justify it. These are just some completely random pictures from the past few months in the new hood...

Yeah the title is still a work in progress, but I've decided that on my lunch breaks in SoHo I might as well try and take some street style shots for everyone. This first lady I saw the other day on Broadway, on a very warm n sunny afternoon and she was still in all black, killing it...

Undeniable swag, as she was in the middle of an intense phone conversation in French. Shit, her dog has it better than most of us!

Style wise, her hat and haircut are such an ill look and completely compliment her simple yet powerful all black outfit. And while my eyes went right for the dog carrying bag (which is awesome), her huge hobo bag is was pretty dope too. Wish she wasn't on the phone so I could have gotten some detailed shots.

Blog Life: The 55 DSL Collective

So while in Japan, the homies over at 55DSL approached me about being part of this Blog Collective that they've been working on establish a voice of the brand. Only being vaguely familiar with 55DSL, I went and checked out one of their shops in Kyoto and saw that they are actually doing some really dope stuff! After that visit I gladly agreed to be part of the movement and upon my arrival back to the states, I recieved this sweet welcome package from the brand!...

After doing some research and getting this SWAG bag from them I'm seeing that they are all about having fun and promoting independent street art too. They've joint published a few books for photographers, got artist collab series tees, and even do events that promote local artists. It's pretty unique that they reach out to smaller artists that they appreciate and want to see shine instead of looking for artists that are already popular and carry a name.

Adventures in NYC: After Irene

As you may know, over the past weekend NYC was completely shut down because of this little hurricane Irene thing. And even though the storm had come and gone by the time most people woke up on Sunday morning, NYC was still a total ghost town all day. But since I was already forced to stay in New Jersey for an entire day and had the homie Mehdi visiting New York for the first time on this unfortunate weekend, we ventured into desolate streets of Manhattan...

Some amazingly simple yet stunning street art that can be seen on about 10 or so of these lamp posts by St. Marks and Cooper Union. Must have taken forever.

In the elegant and antique city of Paris, you can now find this new futuristic landscape/ art installation by artist Elise Morin and architect Clémence Eliard. The work is called Wastelanscape and is a set of hills made from over 65,000 old CDs hand sewn together...

Wastelandscape can currently be seen at Centquatre until September 10th, and is then planned for exhibition in multiple locations, transforming each time, before eventually being completely recycled into polycarbonate.

mastermind JAPAN x Timberland Boots

Recently Timberland boots have had a little comeback amongst the cool guys and even had a few collabs that tried to have some creative fun with the classic Tims silhouette. Well the most recent collab is with mastermind JAPAN, and they set fun to the side n just went bad-ass...

The classic 6-inch boot is done in traditional wheat suede with the traditional work boot laces, but has a tie in zipper shroud over the laces, an embossed mastermind skull logo on the tongue, as well as two smaller metal hardware skulls on the side heel and the tag. SO SO CLEAN! I think they also might have looked crazy with a black sole, but I'm also a fan of how they kept the traditional Timberland work boot look, so no complaints here.

Peep the mastermind site to check their short list of accounts across the world and be ready to spend a grip on these. Money well spent though.

Adidas Originals Stan Smith II - Grey Jersey

Honestly Adidas rarely does it for me, but on there are surely those occasions where they can impress, such as with these Stan Smith II's that are done in a simple grey jersey material along with just the perfect amount of blue to accent it all...

(So curious if that denim on the back is treated so it wont bleed)

No doubt these are simple, clean, and have an interesting enough material to turn a few heads (even though you might have to be sure to carry around some Tide-to-go when you rock them). However I think a small part of me just likes them so much cause they remind me of the impossible to get pair of colette x Reebok Pumps, which I lusted after pretty hard.

Either way they will be hitting Adidas Originals accounts soon, and for a pretty modest price too, so might be worth checking out.

Case & point, this initially simple looking pair of Skagways that uses small hints of leopard printed suede on the premium denim upper (so dope how they even used the selvedge line)...

Uniqlo x Jil Sander +J Line Comes to an End

After 2 years total, the collaboration line between Uniqlo and Jil Sander will be coming to an end, as Uniqlo has just announced that the Fall 2011 +J collection will be the very last.

From my first hand experience with the company it seems that the line still did relatively well in America however may have tried to expand a little too aggressively since +J isn't as popular with the Japanese customers. However the line that has been widely acclaimed will definitely be missed in the NYC stores next year but I'm sure will leave room for much more collaborations and options from the company, so don't worry!

And as for this final collection, I definitely suggest checking it out since it'll be the last chance. The cuts, quality and minimalist style are damn good for the prices and it's a pretty good way to get the grown designer look for the low (I guess I'm mostly speaking on the men's line since it's what I've tried on and bought).

Now to just wait and see what Uniqlo has to roll out with next...

Adventures in Japan: Kyoto Retreats

As you may or may not be aware, I've recently moved to Osaka, Japan, where I'll be working for the next few months before I move back to NYC to take over the world (so sorry, it has definitely left me little time to post on here). But now that I've been here over a month and settled, I'm making it a mission to post more often and more importantly take more pictures to share. I'll start it off with my recent trip to Kyoto, which unfortunately didn't involve much fashion but it was damn beautiful and I think I got some shots that portray the place and the people well...

Pretty much ever city is built around some sort of water and this portion of Kyoto is especially nice since you can actually go down in the river banks n chill, fish, or find an expensive restaurant to enjoy the view.

It's still eye catching to me, but kimonos are a completely normal part of life here... which is probably why it's odd to them that I'm trying to take pictures all the time.

Especially coming from NYC, its unreal how nice everyone is out here. There's no such thing as "don't talk to strangers", because there's no need! We've even befriended some school kids that commute on the train by themselves at the age of like 7. School kids are especially friendly cause they love speaking the little English that they know.

This dude was the man. He felt bad that he couldn't let us in a temple since it was just after 5pm... so he gave us free canned coffee and a great broken English conversation.

Stumbled into some sort of street festival, no clue for what but everyone was decked out, even these little girls in kimonos and dudes marching down the street in some ceremonial fashion...

And you can't escape these people in anime costumes promoting god knows what... but people never get tired of it.

Let me know if there's anything you'd like to see of know more of or what direction you'd like to see these Adventures posts go in. I generally just snap what I find visually cool, but I'm down to hunt down things for you guys (food, fashion, street snaps, signs, whatever tickles your pickle).

SebastiAn - Embody | Music Video

SebastiAn is a new artist on Ed Banger Records who just released his debut album, Total, a few weeks ago and is turning some heads in the electronic music front. This video is actually far from new, my boy David put me onto it months ago, but it wasn't until I heard his album that I was totally sold on SebastiAn. So I suggest a peep of the video, and even if you can't get down with the catchy-ass beat, the video is pretty entertaining itself...

The album stays along the same pace of this song, and I guess my best description is that his stuff sounds like a happier and less intense version of Justice but with the same overall sound as his label mates. There's also features from Mayer Hawthorne, MIA and Justice which are all dope tracks.

And lemme know if a black kid with awesome dance moves shows up when you play this video, cause no such luck here... maybe my speakers aren't good enough though.

UE teamed up with Tokyo's Gallery1950 (same people who did the supreme Fuck 'Em rugs) to make these, but no word yet if they'll be available at UE accounts or just the Gallery1950 store in Tokyo.

...and yes, the first post I've made in about 3 weeks of being in Japan is about a rug. What a let down. But I'll be back with more content soon, sit tight.

Givenchy Leopard Stadium Jacket

While leopard print is undoubtedly a timeless part of fashion, it sees it's peeks and valleys every few years through more mainstream outlets. And while some of the early adapters had their fun with all sorts of leopard prints last year, there are still some quality pieces trickling through the cracks, like this amazing stadium jacket by Givenchy...

Black denim, black shades, black on the feet, and this jacket would KILL. So if you have a couple grand to blow this season, check for this jacket at Givenchy or one of their accounts worldwide.

It's kind of crazy how such a standard print like leopard can be done so poorly by so many brands, but just by fine tuning the fabric, color selection, and small details (like the ill double sleeve detail!) you can have something so strikingly awesome like this. Well played.

Adventures in The City: Views n Shoes

Honestly I'm still struggling with the name for this segment, but for now it shall remain to be called "Adventures" and will basically be the photographic documenting of my day to day with a D90 strapped to my shoulder. I'll try to keep it interesting and fresh and thus will probably keep it weekly or bi-weekly. This post is all from yesterday...

Jane put me on to this awesomely detailed speakeasy called The Blind Barber... great ambiance

Then finally back to Jersey were I just can't get enough of this view at night. The low fog and long exposure makes it look a little extra epic too.

Nike Woven Footscape - 'Leopard'

Edwin Denim x Liberty London

Edwin has gotten together with Liberty London for a nicely detailed pair of their ED-55 cut, 14oz raw selvedge Japanese denim...

The ED-55 cut is a regular fit with a tapered leg, which is hard to come by but a great look, especially in raw indigo. Added to the pair is a signature floral print from Liberty that can be seen on many small details on the interior of the jean. I really with the inside of the legs was lined with the print also, because that would allow an absolutely amazing cuff, but with such a traditional brand like Edwin, that's probably a little too much flare.

I'm still grieving over the fact that they didn't have my size last year when the ridiculously sexy multi-check Woven Chukkas came out, so even though these lack the amazing colors, they still tickle my fancy.

Coming in both grey and all white, look for them soon, and as per usually with shoes of this sort, they primarily drop in Asia so keep a keen eye if you're elsewhere.

Nike is FINALLY dropping a couple Footscapes that don't have those horrid Flywire streaks running through them. Check out these new Air Footscape Woven Chukkas that are being dubbed 3HC...

Although Footscapes are generally regarded as a casual shoe, the sporty silhouette allows Nike to always fuck around and integrate their latest technologies, which is what makes the Footscape such a hit or miss shoe. These 3HC pairs are a total hit though. Using a simple yet über light neoprene upper, along with a Freemotion sole, these probably pack more comfort than the normal Footscape already does.

As always Footscapes are pretty hard to find outside of Japan so keep your eyes peeled for these to drop soon.

Letters to an Absent Father by Ash Ketchum

Just the other day I tweeted about the constant lack of a father in the world of Pokémon, and while some interesting (smh) theories arose, the discussion was short lived. Well cartoonist Maré Odomo took it a few steps further and created an entire comic strip called 'Letters to an Absent Father', which deals with the trials and tribulations of Ash's slightly emo take on life without a dad...

You laugh a little, you die a little, but you also think a little deeper about not only Ash's life but a little about your own. I love the unnecessarily heavy subject matter contained in these strips, which beyond the humor is what makes them so special and unique. And the artist draws some of these scenarios from his own upbringing and thoughts, which is probably why they seem so real.

Aside from this strip, Maré has some other really cool illustrations and comics that you can check out on his site, as well as a store where you can buy physical copies of some of his work, such as Letters to an Absent Father.

Super s/s 2011 Core Collection

Super hits us with their upcoming Sprng/Summer 2011 line, and with great breadth is able to offer something for everyone...

From the colorful frames and unique styles to the simple silhouettes, Super has got it all covered this season. Personally I still think the simple shapes and patterns, like tortoise shell, are the cleanest and what make Super so fantastic, but they definitely pack a lot of personality into each pair they design. I just posted my favorites, so be sure to peep the Super blog for the entire season worth of shades.

I know it's not the normal content on here, but I was recently sent a link for this amazing custom beer pong table on Etsy and had to share it...

Especially now that me and my friends are no longer living in college dorms, it's not as easy to conceal a beer pong table and still keep it classy. The price tag sure isn't cheap, and the production is limited to 20, but this is definitely a grown man's beer pong table if you have the space and the budget. Interested in buying? peep here.

NIke SB Dunk Hi 'Statue of Liberty'

Yeah yeah, so Nike SB hasn't really been able to keep up the steam that they had earlier in the 2000's, but they still manage to pull off that one shoe every year that people just go nuts over. Last year it was the ~~Gucci~~ RESN Dunk Hi, and this year it's looking like the Statue of Liberty Dunk Hi...

Honestly at first glance, the color and texture of these are absolutely dope to me, but it's what happens when you wear them in that is so special. Once on the feet, the areas that get the most wear and scuff marks will fade easily to show the under-layer of 'copper'. Peep the samples from Nike for a better idea.

These are of the quickstrike breed and should be hitting top SB accounts very shortly, so don't sleep.

Prada Marfa

Looking like something straight out of a movie, therein lies a Prada "store" in small municipality of Texas where the population just barely breaks 200. However things are not always as they seem, because while this store is stocked with Prada goods, it doesn't have a working door, or any way to get in the place at all for that matter...

...and that would be because this isn't actually a store, per-say, it's an art installation that has been around for years now but never had one customer or employee. Back in 2005, artist duo Elmgreen and Dragset put up this installation in the most desolate place they could find, to completely juxtapose high fashion retail with it's surroundings. They got the co-sign (and some free display merch) from Prada and built what looks like a normal Prada store in the middle of the desert. And the visual is pretty stunning.

Sadly some hooligans broke into the place only a few days after it opened and robbed the entire place, but now everything has security sensors that will alert the police. Since then the place hasn't been entered and the plan is to never upkeep the installation so that it slowly and naturally just fades into the desert environment. Pretty damn cool.

Apparently I'm a solid 5+ years late on this one, but after seeing the above image randomly on a tumblr, feeling a little perplexed, and them scouring the internet for information on it, I felt compelled to post.

Artist Profile - Liu Di

Liu Di is an artist from the little known Shanxi Province of China, where the cities are just starting to get industrialized and overpopulated. His first series here, "Animal Regulation", is a little social commentary on nature vs urban development in these cities...

Now the cool part about Liu Di, is that while his works are way beyond the realm of reality, he is actually a photographer. All of the city settings are his photographs, the animals are obviously put there afterwards, and the result is a pretty seamless mesh of two mediums.

China is on the verge of a complete artistic revolution right now, and I'm so excited to see how many amazing new artists are finally coming out of the biggest country in Asia.

Dubbed the "Tent" pack, the colors and materials are inspired by, well, tents and camping. So happy to see Insta-Pump Fury's in a nice colorway, but the model is really only popular in Asia so might be tough one to find. But you can always bust out Google Translate and buy them online, here.

Kaws Light Bulbs for The Standard Hotel

Kaws just got together with The Standard Hotel for a set of 'XX' light bulbs. The detail in them is pretty crazy, and make sure to check the video on the bottom to see them in action...

They aren't your standard light bulb that you would light a room with, instead they only carry 3watt glow to be used for some ambiance. (the packaging is pretty nice too)

They are sold in sets of three ($65, one of each color) and only 1,000 sets were produced. They are already sold out through The Standard's online shop, but if you visit the actual hotel shop, they should still be in stock. Along with the light bulbs, 2 different types of KAWS pillows in multiple colors and KAWS companion key chains will be exclusively available for sale at New York shop. A Sorayama/KAWS metal sculpture is also on display now at the shop (not for sale).

I must have torn the ad out of a magazine a while back, so no idea where exactly I nabbed this from, but after scouring the internet I was able to find the full set of ads from this campaign. (the final image is the only one I actually scanned, sorry for the poor quality on that one)

Aside from the timeless design, I really love the vintage feel of these shots, and honestly if her hair was done up I would believe that these ads were from another generation. Well executed, and I'm sure shot by Karl.

"Jet Life" Nike Blazers by JBF Customs

Although there is a huge market and following of DIY people out there who love to customize their sneakers, I've just never seen the appeal. Guess I'm just a purist when it comes to most things and love what companies like Nike produce. Well this one pair of sneakers by JBF Customs just made me set all that thinking to the side for a moment. Peep these Curren$y inspired pair of Nike Blazers...

Sure a small part of the appeal is my fanhood to Curren$y, but it goes way beyond that, I mean look at the detail in these things!! Smoke cloud swoosh, 'Jets Do It' on the tongue tag (yeah I see what he did there), and Spitta's trademark hand signal on the back. And while that sounds like it might be too much going on, he saves it by going with a completely classic Nike Blazer colorway in classic Nike Blazer suede. These are beyond smooth.

JBF does all these by hand (peep the video of him making these), and they're made to order. Just visit his site for all that info and to see more of his great craftsmanship. And while most customizers have heavily themed pairs, JBF keeps it pretty simply and focuses on the materials and colorways rather than a theme or gimmick. Always interesting to see what he's brewing.

Kaws Companion (Passing Through) Installation at The Aldrich | Video

Kaws' famed 16-foot tall Companion statue that was first seen at the Passing Through exhibit in Hong Kong, has now made a journey all the way to the great state of Connecticut. The Aldrich Museum recently had the largest compilation of Kaws work ever seen, and now has just added this giant piece to their back lawn. Check the video of the installation...

The exhibit inside was definitely worth the price of admission, but now even just for this installation outside, I kind of want to go again!

The Passing Through Companion will be on display from now until June 5th.

Loopwheeler - Spring 2011 Cardigans

Japanese masters of the loom, Loopwheeler, are dropping a small collection of cardigans for Spring '11. Most ~~notably~~ noticeably, the multicolored versions...

OK OK, if those are just WAY too much for you, they also come in a much more reasonable set of solid colors...

Those multicolor joints would have sold like hot cakes in 2004, but honestly I still find them kind of attractive, especially the first one. It's all about how you wear it. And after seeing the quality of the Loopwheeler products at Nike these past two Winters, I could definitely justify the price tag to myself now, even for a simple solid color item.

Set to release soon, but outside of Japan, I only really know of colette (France) and Selfridges (London) that carries Loopwheeler.

Nike All Court 'Perforated Leather'

For the Spring, Nike is already bringing back the All Court, which did so well in 2010. And while last year we saw a bunch of canvas and a couple suede colorways released, this year starts with a new look, as the All Court gets the perforated leather treatment...

Not liking these as much as the simple and vintage looking canvas and suede, however they do still look nice and clean, and will no doubt wear in much more subtly. And big ups to Nike for not trying to do too much with this shoe. Lets just keep it neat and simple.

These should all be dropping very shortly, however I've had no word on a date for them over at Nike. I did hear that the grey pair has released at Finish Line though.

Undercity: Exploring Unseen New York | Video

Back in high school one of my very favorite teachers showed us a crazy documentary called In Search of the Mole People, which explored some deep parts of the New York City subway system where entire communities of people had escaped the real world and now lived in this secret underworld. Ever since then I've had the craziest curiosity about what goes on in the miles of tunnels under NYC and always want to sneak down there. Well film maker Andrew Wonder and urban historian/ explorer Steve Duncan have been doing just that. Exploring historical parts of underground (and far above ground) NYC, where 99.9% will never see...

(the doc runs about 30 minutes but it's worth the watch, especially if you live in NYC)

This guy has such a weath of knowledge and has been doing this sort of thing in cities around the world. Now I want to explore the underground even more than I already did! And that Williamsburg Bridge part at the very end was just ridiculous, the view alone might be worth the risk...

Nike Air Presto s/s 2011

One of my very favorite Nike models, the Presto (that I actually no longer own any pairs of), gets it's annual handful of new colorways that will be dropping this Spring '11...

Ditched the running look and functional mesh materials for suede and I must say it looks fucking great! Aside from the simple solid colors, Nike usually tries to do too much with the Presto, even tho it is actually an overly simple shoe as far as pieces and materials. Here they nailed it by keeping it simple in color, just slightly altering the design but then changing to the suede option on the toe and surprising us in that manner. *clap clap*

Prestos continue to be a hard find in the USA, but still look out for these in the coming Spring months.

I've been following Marc Johns' work for quite some time now, and he consistently delivers some of the most simple yet random creations in his drawings. Never really thought of him for an Artist Profile, so I think it's about time I introduced you to his silly world...

Most of his work involves at least a little bit of his dry humor, and is simply drawn using pens and water colors. His works for sale are mostly done on drawing paper, however he knows no limits and occasionally uses sticky notes, rat traps, and my favorite, paper towels.

15 minutes. That’s about how much time I had to make this track. Chris, Sunny Jones and I were working on ExtraOrdinary for “Faust” when Chris said Outasight was in the neighborhood and down to do a joint. He came through, knocked out the hook and verse promptly, and Chris wanted to take it home and work on it. I was like “Fam, I didn’t just get extra pressured to make a track in 15…” and Outasight was like “I didn’t just write AND record a chorus and verse on the spot…” (all in good fun of course). Chris did his thing, wrote a verse and recorded it. Capri came to the spot as we were finishing up the song. She heard some harmonies and put ‘em down. After that we cracked jokes, listened to some tunes Outasight had ready for “Further” and talked about the Knicks for a few.

Bape x Stussy x Luminox Watch

The third and final drop from the Bape x Stussy 'Survival of the Fittest' collection is dropping soon, and a nice little hidden gem of the collection is this murdered out Luminox 1100 Series watch...

So damn crispy. And while most of the collection (tees, black/grey camo hoody, backpack, and varsity jacket) will be dropping on new years day, this watch will be releasing on 1/15/10. Don't sleep!

Pokémon Black & White Preview

If you're up on the Pokémon scene then you know that the newest version, Black & White, has been out in Japan for months now, but will be officially hitting America on March 6th. Well now there is an official trailer to get us nerds excited for the most updated version of the game that we've seen... well... ever?...

Things I'm excited for:

1. They actually updated the graphics and game-play! Sure it's not drastic but it's different and looks much much better than the old layout and fighting animations that we've had for over a decade.
2. New story and new world. Seems like we're finally leaving the world of Ash, Red, Oak, Elm, Canto, Jhoto, Bill, etc.
3. 156 new Pokémon. And this isn't in addition to the hundreds of old Pokemon, this is just what you get, 156 Pokémon that you've never seen before. While it could never be the same, it will be the closest thing you can get to Red/Blue since you'll have to learn these new guys instead of relying on the OGs and saying 'fuck you' to the corny new characters (at least that was my approach).

Thing's I'm not excited for:

1. The starting 3. Considering how important they are to the game, these are epically weak this time around. And usually you can rely on an at least decent lineup.
2. 156 new Pokémon. Yeah yeah, I said I was excited to learn the new stuff, but I'll still miss looking for a Jigglypuff and Pikachu to complete my squad.
3. March 6th! Seriously though, is it necessary for Japan to get this game an entire 7 months ahead of us!? C'mon son. Plus I'll be in Japan when this releases and I can only imagine how hard it's gunna be to find the USA version in Japan since it's next to impossible to find the Japan version here unless you know a guy.

Yep, SwaggerDap just gained like +312exp nerd points for this post, and lost a few readers too. But fuck it, 'Gotta catch em all'.

Nike Air Pegasus '89 "Tech Grey"

Before the Air Max series took over Nike's running sneaker market into the 90s, the Pegasus runner was king. And while new Pegasus models do still come out, the OG models from the 80's (especially Pegasus '83 and '87) are still by far the most popular when they make a rare sighting. For 2011 Nike updates the Pegasus '89 with a simple yet modern looking "Tech Grey" colorway...

Gotta say that I didn't think a Pegasus would ever make an appearance on SwaggerDap, but these are surprisingly nice and updated so they don't actually look like they were made in 1989! Only downside (for most of us) is that I wouldn't be too shocked if these were a Europe only release. But since they're due out soon, we'll just have to wait and see.

In God We Trust - 'Poison' Flask

Last week I introduced you guys to In God We Trust, with their classy 'Cheers Mother Fucker' flask. Well after visiting their store to check out the goods, I fell in love with a few items, and one of them was yet another flask...

Yes, the classic 'Poison' sign on an alcohol container, in a super sweet style done by hand. Still trying to figure out if I like this or the 'Cheers Mother Fucker' more, but either way they are both totally bad-ass.

Simply Complicated - Winter 2010

Haven't heard much from Simply Complicated lately, but they have just launched their Winter 2010 line just in time for the holidays...

Flight 19 was a squad of 5 TBM avenger planes that disappeared during a training mission while flying over the Bermuda Triangle. The planes were never recovered, nor were any of the pilots ever seen or heard from again.

Ansel Adams is arguably one of the greatest photographers of all time and one of the creators of the Zone System that is still in use today. This picture is one of Adams' most famous works that was done whilst employed by the US Goverment in the 1940's. (Also available in Red)

Bernini's angels are some of the most famous statues from the Baroque period and the flowing lines and organic figure of this particular statue lend well to the Simply Complicated logo (Also available in white)

The Big Apple is one of the most recognizable skylines in the world and is the gateway to the land of opportunity that you and I know as the United States.

Ben Franklin is often credited with the discovery of electricty after tying a key to a kite during a lightning storm, even though this could have possibly kiled him, it was a discovery that catapulted the world from the dark ages to modern society. (Also available in black)
