The editorial was in collaboration with Dr Martens, styled by Yoon, and shot by Kisimari. The issue should be on newsstands pretty soon, so check out your local Japanese bookstore in the coming weeks.

False & Fallacy of Rome a/w 2010

False just released the lookbook for the a/w 2010 collections of both their main False line, as well as Lupe's Fallacy of Rome. Peep the hand made anarchy...

As always, dark and fucking bad-ass shit from False. The tees are all hand screened, the Chucks were deconstructed and reconstructed by False, and the leather goods are all hand cut and sewn (check Le Messie's blog for behind the scenes on it all).

Shop False here, and Fallacy of Rome here.

Shawnimals - Master Ninja

Long before he was Ol' Master Ninja he was simply Master Ninja – an aspiring yet unkempt instructor at the historic Ninjatown Academy, instilling in his pupils the most important concepts of Ninja-ing: Stealth Kindness, Covert Cuddles & Sneaky Snack-time Snuggling, just to name a few...

Limited to 100 pieces, Master Ninja comes with his staff, satchel, and young felty beard; plus the usual button and sticker side goodies. Dropping on December 1st, grab him through Shawnimals online shop.

Bape x Stussy - Delivery 2 "Survival of the Fittest"

We just got some images of Bape x Stussy's second go-round, with a collection very fittingly titled 'Survival of the Fittest'...

The first half of this collab was pretty luke warm and consisted of just some tees and truckers, the most popular of which was simply the Stussy logo done up in Bape camo. Well luckily they were just testing the waters with that one, because round 2 looks pretty good. The Bape x Stussy skull camo looks way better on outerwear, and I'm a HUGE fan of the simple black items, as well as this fucking dope varsity jacket and jeans that weren't sent over to me, but did appear in the lookbook.

Look for this stuff to drop this weekend at Bape shops, and a small chance of an online release.

Converse SoHo Exclusive Products

As you most likely expected, with the opening of the very first Converse NYC in SoHo, there will be plenty of exclusive products for the store. Here's a quick look at some of the NYC merchandised shoes and apparel...

There are also plenty more colorways of the NYC tees, including all of the boroughs and even more neighborhoods. The customization station in the store will also be branding products with a rotating selection of graphics that are all limited to the NYC store.

Once again, the grand opening is this Black Friday, November 26th. Read more on the store here.

Store Profile - Converse SoHo (NYC)

Set for a Black Friday launch, Converse will be opening its first doors in Manhattan, right in the heart of SoHo. And while we've known about this for months, we now finally get a look inside the newest and largest Converse shop in the world...

Damn, how I love the raw interiors of SoHo storefronts and every shops' interpretation of them. This one stays pretty true to the vintage look and keeps a nice mix between casual and sport.

Not only will this Converse store boast the biggest selection of Converse footwear in the globe, it will also house an exclusive line of apparel and accessories, as well as a customization station (see: nike ID).

The grand opening of the Converse SoHo store will be on Friday, November 26, 2010, opening at 8 am. The store’s normal operating hours will be Monday through Saturday, 10 am to 8 pm, and Sunday, 11 am to 7 pm.

Sanrio 50th Anniversary Art Show in Miami

To celebrate their 50th anniversary, Sanrio has been on a pop-up road trip across the USA for the past month or so, and as that tour hits Miami (Dec 2-5), there is going to be an amazing Sanrio art show. Art Basel has commissioned 50 artists from around the globe to create some Sanrio inspired works that will be sold for charity...

I'm fucking LOVING these Sanrio inspired pieces, and only wish I could be in Miami to see them all. Most feature Hello Kitty, but I also see Chococat and Badtz-maru in there for the real Sanrio heads (don't ask me how I know these things). Here's a short taste of the artist line up: Shepard Fairey, Mike Shinoda, Niagara, Jason Alper, Adam Wallacavage, Mark Mothersbaugh, Richard Colman, and Seonna Hong. Not too shabby. And even though I doubt it will top this, I'm really excited to see what this Sanrio tour will bring to NYC on December 9th.

The exhibition will only be in Miami for 3 days (December 2nd-5th) and all of the proceeds will go to a Miami charity.

Artist Profile - Lee Price

When you first get a glimpse at Lee Price's work you most likely think something like 'huh, that's quite an interesting perspective and subject matter for photography'. And the subject matter is interesting indeed, except for one thing, it isn't photography... Lee's works are actually all extremely realistic paintings!
Paintings that she uses to explore the relationship between women and food...

'Refuge'

'Butter'

'Sunday'

'Snack'

'Grilled Cheese II'

'Happy Meal'

'Full'

Yeah, I know, the detail is nuts.

I actually wanted to post this before I even realized that these ultra realistic and amazingly detailed paintings were paintings at all, because the perspective is so unique. The slightly exaggerated scenes of women and food are pretty interesting to look at, but also an interesting subject to paint about, especially since I was just trying to understand the concept of comfort foods. (the females I spoke to were way more passionate and specific about their feelings on comfort food than the males)

Oh and for the record Lee is from America, a female, and is the subject of her own works that you see. Some of here works are on display around the country, so peep this short list to see if any are in a gallery by you.

Sixpack France x Grotesk - Union Made Varsity Jacket

Sixpack France just hit us with this dope black on black Union Made Varsity jacket in collaboration with Grotesk...

Grotesk used a nice vintage college type logo to compliment the rich wool and leather jacket. Not too many of these were made, so go check out the Sixpack shop if you want to cop. And Grotesk also did some tees and crew neck sweatshirts with the same logo if the jacket isn't in your budget.
